I had no trouble assembling six cups for our six hens, but they are constantly tipping the cups so the water drains out. I put them together as tight at I thought advisable (without stripping the threads). I'd suggest putting silicone seal on the cup threads before screwing them in so when it sets the hens won't be able to turn the cups sideways.

Not impressed.. chickens knock the cups off easily, draining the water barrel and making a mess of the run. Installed last Friday, and at the current defect rate, would have to order a new set every few weeks. Will be seeking an alternative watering solution quickly.

I've had these set up for a bit now, and they work great. Be warned that the cups are a little heavy when full, and tend to sag and leak. I fixed that super easy with some wire ties to give more support. My ONLY complaint is that I really need a list of the actual sizes for the fittings included (the instructions are only photos) as I need to purchase replacement parts to expand my water system.this kit doesn't include PVC pipes or PVC pipe cement, so expect to buy those separately.

So I have this attached with a 30 gallon barrel but I didn’t use the float attachment. But the cups don’t leak. I honestly figured they would so I bought rent a coop nipples and cups. Ironically they leak lol. When they stop refilling just unscrew the cup and clean it out (I use a spray bottle for the stream and a pipe cleaner from dollar tree…or a twig nearby lol)
