The moisture reading was not accurate, and was only half of what it should be. Three weeks later it quit working entirely.

Very hard to install, blatant mistakes in manual, only reports in degrees C, limited temperature range, not durable for freezing/snow.

I have plants in my office and often forget to water them. Now I'm able to monitor them and get reminders on my phone ... super easy and handy.

I am a huge fan of moisture meters, because I have difficulty checking the moisture levels with my finger. This is a fabulous tool if you only have one plant, but most people do not have only one plant. This set works great and it is easy to use. I actually have found it to be helpful to monitor the plants that are in my parents’ house, since I live in another house on that property. So, I can keep an eye on those plants even if I am not in the house all the time.

This is a really high tech and cool device that can be useful for backyard growers who wish to keep an eye on the soil conditions in the grow bed. It is a bit bulky for use at home. Also minimum temperature it withstands outside can be a bit problematic to live it outside over the winter in some really cold zones. On the other hand, connectivity is decent and measurements seem accurate. If only the probe was smaller and multiple of those probes were included in the price. As things stand you have one probe for one hub which is a bit weird (normally when you have a hub, multiple things should be connected). I need to experience this item for longer time to comment on the reliability and long term performance. Other than those, reasonably priced techy gadget that can give some idea about growth conditions

This was difficult to set up. the meter and the dock are two separate units that have to be set up separately its also another app on your phone. Not sure why these companies cannot just set these things up all on apple home or google home accessory and they instead have to have their own app that you have to download. Both also take battery's and have to be charged or plugged in. Also when using a traditional meter against this one the results were way off. this one made my fiddle seem dry but a traditional one made it seem like it was still wet so which one do you go by? Also with the size of the spike on this it is very hard to get in some of the root balls of plants and with my fiddle thought I may have been causing damage. Just not sure about this my fiddle is already supper stressed, has moisture issues which was the reason for this purchase but if it ends up killing it I think this is an instance where new tech loses.

I have not had great luck lately with the moisture meters I have purchased. Two out of three did not measure properly contributing to overwatering. I thought this would be a good backup to check how the plants are doing. Although, I believe it’s designed for one plant, I use it to check various potted plants around the house. The planters must be deep enough or the meter won’t read. The meter is rather large but works well. This has restored my confidence ensuring that the plants have a good moisture balance. The set up wasn’t hard but make certain to use the 2.4 MHz Wifi, not the 5 MHz if that is available as that it not supported.

Honestly don't know what I was thinking when I thought this would be a good idea for my garden. I actually ordered this thinking it was a set, but really it's one (1) moisture meter plus a connecting hub. This is fabulous if you only have one plant and are either a beginner or want to pay particular attention to only one pot/plant/flora specimen. It tells you the moisture level at varying lengths of time, so theoretically you could check your plant every 10 minutes or so to see how it's feeling. However, if you want to actually use the hub and monitor more than one plant or area, you'll need to buy another meter for each plant or area. Yes, it's quite simple to set up and synch to the hub. But, at the current price of nearly $27 per meter, it's really (really!) more cost effective for your garden to get a plain moisture meter and stick it in the ground for immediate results. Or, after time and experience, use your finger in the soil. I love this idea for monitoring an indoor area like a greenhouse, where you could set up a meter in front, middle, and back to monitor the varying temperatures and humidity levels. This can also be connected with your auto watering hose(s), making it a breeze to care for your plants.
