Kindly NOTE:
1. The pH function of this soil tester can not be applied to test pH value of any other liquid.
2. Since soil most often is in/close to neutral state (with pH value of 7), it is highly likely that you find the needle in display window stay still (because the default pH value is set at somewhere between 7 and 8) when you use it to test the pH value of soil. Customers sometimes are misled by this appearance and hence regard the tester as a defective unit by mistake.
How to Use:
Step 1: Switch to moisture/pH/light position according to demand.
Step 2: Insert the probe into the soil about 2-4 inches.
Step 3: Check moisture/pH/light level in the dial after 10 minutes.
Step 4: Remove probe from soil and wipe clean after each use.
1. Do not force it into very hard soil or touch hard objects since it will be easy to damage the probe.
2. Do not use it to test pure water or other liquids. It can only be used to measure soil.
3. Do not leave the meter in the soil for a long time.
4. Please wipe and clean the probe after each use.
5. If the soil is too dry the indicator will not move, and water it before testing.

I had one of these years ago that never seemed to register correctly. I was having trouble with a plant whose symptoms for over- and underwatering are the same. This was exactly what I needed for healthy watering. Glad I tried again with a different brand.

Its good, just sometimes you have to leave it in for the gauge to be accurate. It will say the soil is "wet" which is the highest level of water, then after a while it will go down to its actual reading.

This is one of the best, simplest and easiest to use soil tester I have ever come across. You get immediate results. No wet chemistry to deal with. No sending samples to a faraway lab and waiting for the results. We learned that our garden soil is way too acid and we need to neutralize it to get better results.In addition, it is a 3 in 1 Tester that can tell you moisture condition and light/dark condition of the soil to help you choose optimum location. A truly amazing tool!!

I'm in love with this meter. And I'm amazed at how quickly I can switch from checking on the moisture level to checking on the PH level. From raised garden to raised garden and to all the pots in my yard, this meter is going to help maintain my entire garden. I wish I had bought one of these years ago!

For the moisture and light meter this product seems to be effective so far. I have backed up using the meter with other ways of testing (visually for the light portion, finger and container weight for the moisture portion) and the meter seems to match my rough estimate.While I haven't been able to verify the ph accuracy yet, so far it seems to react differently to different soils.Overall the meter is easy to read, it will give you a general idea, but it is not for precise measurement. The meter is easy to use, just don't push to hard into the soil and clean off it off once you are done using it.For the price it seems to be worth it so far, if things changes I will update this review.Full disclosure: I don't often do reviews and am doing this one since the company offers a gift for doing so, though I have kept the review to what I have experienced and as accurate as I can be.

I recently purchased your soil tester because I am growing a new honeycrisp apple tree. Needed to monitor the Ph level and it was so easy to use and it read my Ph level right where it needed to be . I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs to measure their Ph Level . Thx
