These have been nice to have for monitoring our tomato plants in pots. They appear to be accurate, though I really have no way of verifying this. Ha! They were easy to install and the display is a good size.

This probe and display set surpasses my expectations. It really works and I'm able to monitor a plant that I keep in a guest room that I don't frequent and often forget about. Having the display near my other plants gives me a visual reminder of the other plant and I'm able to monitor it's condition. I like that you are able to use up to 6 probes with the monitor. The set comes with stickers for assigning numbers to the probes as well as a sticker to remind you of the location of each probe. The included instruction booklet is clear and the probe and display come with batteries so you can set everything up right away. It took me about 5 minutes to get the everything set up.

Well this is refreshing, a moisture meter that actually seems to work. I have no way to check the accuracy, but what it is telling me seems reasonable given when I last watered the plants. This is especially helpful for plants in large pots. With those I can tell what's going on at the surface, but deep down in the pot is another matter. The temperature sensor was off by only one degree compared to my very accurate Thermapen. The light sensor also seems to be accurate. It's simple to set up, and comes with the four AA batteries you need. There is no warranty, but I may buy some more of these anyway. They seem to be well constructed and I'm so glad to have found a moisture sensor at a reasonable price that actually seems to work. The directions indicate you can have up to six sensors for one monitor, but I have not tested this. If something fails prematurely I will update. I don't expect it will, and right now I'm very happy with this set.

I originally purchased a set with the monitor and two soil spike testers. Then ordered two more testers. Each monitor can dock six testers. I have been so happy with this I ordered two mor testers to make six for the original monitor I purchased. Then went and ordered a second monitor as a set with six testers. This all allows me to watch water needs for 12 plants. 😊 One caveat is that when pairing the second set I had to take that second set and its monitor off sit out of rang of the originals so pair the new set of testers to it. The link to the first monitor they see.

This took almost a month to get delivered to me, due to some delay. Once I have received it, it was easy to use. Just make sure to install the batteries. Setup the time, and date. Plug the sensor into the soil that I wanted to monitor. Wait for a few mins, the display started to get updated info about the moisture in the soil. I am not sure how accurate it is, but it does seem to work pretty well. Whenever I watered the soil, the monitor will show the moisture to be high. when I haven't watered for a few days, it will show low. It gives me a good indication when I need to water them. Everything seems to be working.

Nice little kit for keeping an eye on moisture levels and temperature in your grow tent. Found out it works best in 3-5gal pots with the probes about a half inch above the bottom and as close to the middle as possible. Not the most accurate but gives me an idea of when I’m starting to dry out. When it reads between 15-25%, I’m almost certainly dry. Gives a more accurate reading if you’re bottom watering but still works good either way. Includes the batteries needed and connects automatically. Helps if you power them on one at a time and write the number on the top for easy identification. Moisture takes a little bit to register so figuring out which one is which can be difficult after they’re in the soil and can be mixed up during transplanting or top dressing.

I garden a ton and have a lot of money invested in my houseplants, so I want to take as best care of them as I can. I have found that using a soil moisture meter is helpful because I think the most common way people kill their houseplants is from overwatering, in my experience. So far using a soil moisture meter seems effective, and I like that it takes the guesswork out of it all. I have only used analog type soil moisture meters in the past, so when checked against it, they had a pretty similar reading, so it seems like this is accurate. Overall, I highly recommend any gardener who is serious about their hobby to use a moisture meter like this one.
