So far so good. Had to return the “a” version for the “b” as i didnt read the full description before ordering. But they shipped quickly and i just plugged in to charge it up. So far i feel the vacuum does work a lot better now that it has power again. Again i read some fail within a year so if see signs of failure early will try to update review. Installation super easy, one screw on stem and one behind the washable filter. The screw hole behind filter was a little small but it was still easy to screw in. Oh and my vacuum dc31 was white and this is the newer grayish color but i dont mind.

Vacuum works like new. When removing old battery be persistent in removing screw. It sticks but a tap will make it release.

Unfortunately, this did not work for me. It looks well made but the mounting screws would not go in. The holes line up but seem too small for the screws . I would have tried drilling them out but when I placed the vacuum in the wall mount charger it was almost impossible to get the vacuum out of the charger. Sounded like something was about to break. Evidently something is barely off on the physical dimensions as well.

I was so glad this battery was available. My ancient Dyson’s battery was toast. I have probably had it for 15+ years. Here’s to 15 more years!

Update Sept 7/24Battery started to deteriate after a year, then after just over two years I get 2 minutes of use and now after about two and a half years I am lucky to get 30 seconds of use before it quits. If I let it sit for about 5 minutes I can get another 30 seconds, I can do this about 4 times then it has to be recharged. Vacuum was used very little, for spills and spot cleaning about once every two weeks or so. I will not buy another from this seller.Original post Feb 14/23Not as advertised but ok as is for the price.Battery was advertised as a 4000 mAh battery but is actually only about 2600 mAh's. Dyson's original battery is 2000 mAh's and according to the manual it will run for 8 minutes on high on a DC45. Doing the math a 2000 mAh battery running for 8 minutes uses 250 ma a minute therefore a 4000 mAh battery should give you about 16 minutes of run time. The best run time I got from this battery was 10.5 minutes but usually just only 10.25 minutes, so at best this battery is only about 2600 mAh's.I see it is now being advertised as a 6000 mAh battery for even less money than what I paid about 8 months ago. I doubt it really is a 6000 mAh battery but for the price even if it is only a 2600 mAh battery it is still a good buy.

I was considering tossing away my old Dyson because it I could not use it on the "turbo" setting, which made it pretty much a waste of space. The Dyson product page shows the DC35 as being discontinued, and I thought of course it is, drop a couple hundred dollars on this product and when it needs replacement parts its no longer supported.Then I looked here on Amazon and found replacement batteries. My overall opinion of Dyson being a mediocre vacuum that is overpriced because of their name has not changed, but at least I will still get some use out of my old vacuum.Replacing the battery consisted of removing two screws, pretty straight forward and took a couple of minutes. It did fix the turbo setting on my vacuum, and it this new battery has accurate specs, it should have about three times the battery capacity that the OEM battery had. Thank you!
