The size is correct but they don't slip together like they should. I found I needed to use sandpaper to trim the edges sothey would go together.

These reducers are made to allow you to connect a more manly true 2-1/2" flex hose to your wet/dry vac instead of the puny (actual) 2" ID hoses that come with them. They make it a snap to connect the more manly 2-1/2" flex-hose between wet/dry vacs and cyclone type dust separators that use 2" OD or 2-1/4" ID inlets.

These are not tapered so they don’t fit tight into your machine sawdust exhaust. I ended up duct taping them so they would work

Measured twice and figured this was the adapter I needed. But it was a loose fit into my 2-1/4" shopvac end-attachments. It IS tapered on the OD of the smaller end, but unfortunately it is still too small for a good fit. Maybe it fits on true dust collection parts? But most of those seem to be 2.5", and 2-1/4" seems to be from the shopvac world. (but I'm not an expert)I didn't want to use tape to seal the adapter to the attachment, as the adapter and hose must be used on different attachments. Ultimately I decided to put 2 slices into the shopvac attachment inlet, with a hoseclamp to tighten it down. I found a good setting on the clamp that allows a snug but removable fit for this adapter. Putting this mod on my attachments (only 2-3 of them) makes this adapter useful for my needs.
