Now I understand why people return it. It lacks precision. diameter is off by about 1/16th of an inch and hence does not fit as expected. Material quality is good but lacks precision.

I swear over a few decades of randomly ordering reducers like this I’ve never succeeded in measuring or paying attention long enough to get one that worked. Inside diameters, outside diameters, yada yada yada.In fact I ordered another reducer from this same manufacturer and low and behold, it was the wrong size (my fault).Gave it one more shot and it fits nice and snug on my Rikon 50-112 belt/disc sander.Highly recommend and have confidence you will pay closer attention to the dimensions than I have, historically speaking.

Size was exactly as stated in description. Worked great to adapt a Festool 36 mm vac hose (1-1/2" ID) to a Woodpeckers DP PRO drill press fence port (2-1/4 inch ID).

I wish they made a 2" and/or 1-7/8. I just ended up glueing this to the end of my DeWalt hose adapter. All works the same.

I bought this product to adapt the primary dust collection port on my DeWALT Table saw to my 6 gallon Craftsman shop vac. This part fits snuggly into the table saw port. The fit is looser, but functions on the shop vac hose. This is because the shop vac hose is an unusual size for dust collection systems. I purchased this adapter as it had the best dimensioned drawing in the description, and that got me close enough to be functional in my garage. The plastic is sturdy and the part is good quality. A bit pricy -- but also a specialty type part.

Got this to fit a toolshed vacuum cleaner. It's not 2.25 inches. When it didn't fit I measured it and it was 2.35 inches. Apparently that makes a huge difference if the hole is exactly 2.25 inches. I ground it down until it fitted, but was disappointed that it didn't fit out of the box, and I had to mess about to get it to fit.
