I experienced the same issue with the Ethernet port on this device reported by others. The problem is not with the device! My issue was using the USB power supply that was provided with my Fire TV stick 4K Max. The provided supply was good enough for the Fire TV stick but is not adequate when adding the Ethernet/ USB hub plus a microsd card and a USB adapter for microsd. I replaced the provided USB power supply with the supply from my no longer used first generation Amazon Echo device. I now have ZERO issues.

OTG cable worked OK, network adapter bad, firestick would not see wired network connection or USB device connected to network adapter. Connected UGREEN network adapter to OTG cable, wired network and connected USB device seen by firestick.

The network adapter works well directly with Android tablets but the Android phones need to be tweaked (with root access) to support it, because most (all?) phone manufacturers didn't enable network-over-OTG by default on their devices.The powered OTG cable is good as well, it cans be to help give enough power to a 3G/4G USB dongle.It's nice to have a single pack for both items, thanks for the deal.

I got this to use with our Firestick to allow me to use both a USB stick and wired ethernet with the Firestick.It works as expected.The only issue I had is one of the 3 USB ports is a little weird and wouldn't allow the insert of the USB stick. The other two ports are fine, and I only needed one, so it didn't really matter, but it is worth mentioning that quality control is a bit lacking.

I purchased this so I can hardwire my ethernet, I haven't tried that part yet but one thing that I do know is the small USB the mini that your power source plugs into the fire stick don't fit properly you have to force it in there when it shouldn't be that way so I don't know if I messed up the prongs on the plug or not but I know I'm not happy with this product. This is an update I had to turn my equipment in to get updated equipment which meant I had to get a new password for my fire stick all this time I was thinking this piece of junk was hardwired when it never was it don't even work don't buy this thing I read the reviews it's true this thing's a joke it's a rip off it don't even connect right it's very tight when you connect your fire stick plug into that it's not even detecting the hard wire when I had to call customer support for my spectrum internet to get my things updated they weren't even recognizing that they were recognizing my Samsung TV but they didn't even see the fire stick this thing don't even work the problem is I don't know how to get my money back I seen it where it says up to a year I need my money back from this thing got to find something somewhere else that beats these crooks
