As a cable/fiber installation technician, I need a quick and easy way to test ethernet cable speed after putting connectors on ethernet cable lines in new homes. I use this with my android phone, works perfectly and quickly and is small enough to easily stick in my back pocket/splice kit... and definitely much cheaper than a full ethernet test tool or hauling a laptop olarpund on site.

Adapter na chipie Realtek. Działa bez problemu z Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+. U mnie używany do streamowania TV z set top boxa Vu+ gdyż nawet niewielkie, zdarzające się czasem zakłócenia w transmisji danych po WiFi powodowały zatrzymywanie odtwarzania lub zanik dźwięku. Z przewodowym połączeniem LAN działa to idealnie. Do szybszego ładowania lepiej adapter tymczasowo odłączyć i podłączyć ładowarkę bezpośrednio.

Works as advertised. Even in a picky Dell 5690 laptop. Time will tell how it holds up.

Purchased so I wasn't using work wifi which kept dropping out during video calls. Works perfectly and keeps a stable connection. Added power pass through means I keep my other usbc port for other things

I used this over the Labor Day weekend and it was a pleasure using my tablet continuously without buffering issues. I also didn't have to keep switching from the power connector to the internet connector. And I especially love the idea that it is plug-and-play. No additional software is needed. Although, I did notice that there were driver updates to address the inclusion of this device. But they were automatic.

I bought four of these items, two to use and two for backups. Welp, after days of frustration I discovered that it wasn’t me, it was the product/s. Out of four, only one worked properly. The other kept dropping connection. This is unacceptable!!

Very unique item and highly recommend it. Ethernet works as expected. For MacBook, iPad, and even iPhone that you want to get a wired connection it’s great to have the USB-C power port on this so your device can stay charged while the Ethernet uses up battery power. Surprised more products don’t come this way.Doesn't seem to work on M3 MacBook Pro though.

This is a really useful adapter which works well with my HP x360 Spectre Laptop. I am a firm believer that wired ethernet is always superior to Wi-Fi so any time I am using my laptop at home, I disable the Wi-Fi and plug in a USB ethernet adapter. Since I always need to power my laptop anyway, I used to have two USB-C wires connected to it. Now all I need to do is plug one wire into the laptop to get power and wired ethernet. I plug the HP power cord (USB-C PD) into this adapter and the laptop accepts the power without any complaints. I just needed an ethernet port, not a larger full-blown hub with tons of ports so this was perfect. Very satisfied.

Revised ReviewAfter reading other reviews, I decided to try again with this adapter. I changed the score from 2 stars to 4, based on my new tests. The final star that did not come back is because adapters should be plug-and-play and I shouldn't have to read reviews to try and figure out why it isn't working. Some of the reviews stated that they had to wait for 20 seconds or so for the status to change on the phone. Others said you may have to turn the USB-C plug the other way for it to work. So, I tested it on my computer first. This time, I plugged my power cable into the adapter first, watched what direction I put the USB C into the computer (which was with the name side down on the big part of the adapter), and then plugged in the Ethernet cable. Within a short while, my battery showed that it was charging and the Ethernet came back on (had been on before I unplugged my docking station to do the test).I then decided to be brave (or maybe stupid), and I tried the phone, but this time, with the same side down, I plugged the USB-C into the phone, then the power cord I typically use for charging, then the Ethernet. After a very short wait, I received a fast-charging notification. The same power plug and cable give me super-fast charging without the adapter. Additionally, after a longer wait, a notification for Ethernet setup popped up and I was able to turn off my WiFi and data and use the Ethernet connection. The speed seemed slower than my Ethernet connections on my computers, but I don't know how to run a speed test on Android, so I can't say for sure.Original ReviewThe Ethernet port works on my computer, but not my phone. The problem may be with my Samsung S23+ according to some articles I read, but I'm not sure.I tried the power-in port with 3 devices and it didn't work with any of them. To make things even worse, but phone stopped charging with any cable until I rebooted it. This scared me enough that I didn't run any more tests.I'll still use the Ethernet feature on my laptop, but I won't try it on phones or tablets anymore.

I bought this to replace another USB to ethernet adapter that doesn't have a USB C power port. Windows 11 installed the drivers with no issues. It works as expected with my Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5.

Does what it advertises. Note that it draws some power of its own, so just passing through power might not work.
