I plan to buy one more of these after seeing the results to get the other wired PC in the house up to a 2.5 connection. These work just as good as my desktop with a PCIE 10GB adapter (connected at 2.5Gb at the router as well). I have a 1Gb fiber plan, and these results are the same as on my desktop and tend to hit around 1200/1200 consistently. I just installed one on my media server/Hyper-V tinkering machine that is on 24/7 so that will be another good test of reliability and true throughput. I just used the USB-A connector (the ports are USB 3 on the machine) and no issues, there is a single USB-C but I wanted to keep it opened for future use. I have had another one on a mini-PC that I use for working from the house, no connection drops even being on it for hours.Do I really need 2.5Gb? I mean, probably not, but also because I can, and why not? The router I have will do it and I also like knowing I'm really getting my full potential out of my current fiber internet plan, and gives me room to grow later if I decide to and it isn't breaking the bank to do it.I did what someone else in the reviews suggested and grabbed the Realtek USB FE / GBE / 2.5G / 5G Ethernet Family Controller Software driver and installed it before connecting the adapter. Seems like that was the right call using this driver and thanks for mentioning it.I guess I will see how these hold up, they seem well build and it is nice they can use both USB-A and USB-C with the adapter that is attached to it. I have had some load put on the one I already have and it felt like it won't have any overheating issues.

I bought (2) of these Wavlink adapters to use with my local network, and they were easy to set up and worked well for the first 3 months, connecting reliably at 2500mb/s (initially).Recently, however, one of them began to experience network errors with many dropped connections, and I found its connection speed had fallen to 100mb/s (1/25 of what it should be). After much troubleshooting and swapping of cables, computers, and switch ports, the rest of my network was found to be fine with the slow speed problem following this one adapter.These are supposed to have a 1-year manufacturer warranty, so I will look into that option. However, I am skeptical that the hassle and shipping cost to return it might not be worth it, so I am also considering replacing it with an adapter from a different manufacturer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this Wavlink product if reliability and durability are important to you.

Works very well when connected to a USB C port - full 2.5Gb/s speeds and adapter stays cool. Same can’t be said when connected to USB A - speeds drop dramatically and connection sometimes times-out.

I wanted to get 2.5G ethernet support for my 1G limited PC and laptop, so I purchased two of these addapters. Surprisngly, they look and feel more quality than I anticipated. I say this because I have had some other ethernet adapters and they feel cheap and hollow. This adapter does not feel that way. Besides that, the adapter works flawlessly. I tested the link speed with iPerf and I was getting right under 2.5 Gbps, which is exactly as expected. Additionally, this adapter comes with the extra USB-C to USB-A adapter, which is very necessary for multiple use cases IMO. I can use it on my new laptop and on my older PCs. Other than these positives, I don't see any cons of this product. It works as expected and is a decent value for what you get. I'm sure other adapters can be cheaper, but they aren't that much cheaper. And I don't know if you'd want lesser build quality thatn this (which is pretty good).Overall, I'd say give this product a try and see if it lives up to your expectation. For me, it exceeded my expectations, which is great. If you can find this on sale for under $20 or so, I'd say it's a good buy.

I got this for my PC because I wanted to be able to test and troubleshoot ethernet cables. The USB Type C delivers maximum speed but the standard Type A dongle is a nice touch if needed.I tested this on my HP Chromebook and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Chromebook works as expected but I was surprised it also works with the S23 phone. However, bandwidth was limited to 200Mbps download (upload was 800Mbps). Your experience may be different depending on your phone. If you have a PC or Chromebook and use the Type C connection, you should be a happy camper.

This item works great. Here is a little bit of back story in case I can help somebody else.I ordered AT&T Fiber Internet service for my home, and bought the 2.5 GB speed. I was really confused because it wasn't any better than the Spectrum service I had before. I had just bought a new laptop back in August. 2024 and I was on the phone with Dell support for a couple of hours trying to figure this out. I am using a Dell docking station with a max link speed of 8.1 GB, yet my laptop was stopping at 1.0 GB. Even though my laptop does not have an Ethernet port per se, that was the max speed I could get.I ordered this adapter, but I was afraid that the laptop being maxed at 1.0 GB would cancel out the adapter. But luckily, this adapter came with a new driver. I installed the driver first, then plugged in the adapter. I'm now getting 2.4 GB on my laptop. This adapter was a great find!

Lo he comprado para medir la velocidad de mi Internet, ya que por wifi me daban unas velocidades que no correspondían con lo que tenia contratado y ahora con el adaptador USB C Ethernet si me ha dado la velocidad simétrica contratada y la verdad que ha merecido la pena comprarlo, lo recomiendo.

Adattatore Ethernet 1Gbps / usbc con chip Realtek. Funziona molto bene (la banda è piena e il ping verso la LAN nell’ordine degli 0,1-0,3 ms) e cosa importante per me, il driver per mac os supporta le VLAN.Dotata anche dei led di servizio, cosa non scontata al prezzo di vendita attuale (14€).Ultimamente quasi tutti gli adattatori ethernet-usbc che si trovano in vendita hanno chip asix 88179A, che su Mac OS attualmente non supporta le VLAN.Se vi servono le VLAN su mac os state su adattatori con chip Realtek.

Da qualche tempo i produttori di computer hanno iniziato a preferire notebook dal design sempre più sottile, sacrificando alcune porte, tra cui sicuramente l'ingombrante porta Ethernet!Per me questo è un problema non da poco perché preferisco utilizzare quasi sempre la connessione tramite cavo che trovo sia più stabile e affidabile del wi-fi (almeno secondo la mia esperienza).Nel mio caso è dunque indispensabile utilizzare un adattatore come questo della WAVLINK.Si nota subito che è ben costruito e ho apprezzato la presenza di fori di ventilazione su entrambi i lati che servono a disperdere il calore e quindi a prolungare la durata del dispositivo.Sono presenti 2 utili LED di stato che indicano quando è in funzione.Viene fornito anche un piccolo manuale, ma il funzionamento è semplicissimo perché è plug and play sulla maggior parte dei dispositivi: basta inserire il cavo Ethernet da una parte, collegarlo a una porta USB-C del notebook e si può subito navigare!Se però avete Windows7/Vista/XP oppure Linux Kernel da 2.6 a 3.8 è necessario installare i driver tramite il link che trovate nella confezione.La velocità massima dichiarata è di 1000Mbps; personalmente non ho avvertito alcun calo di velocità nella mia connessione, ma devo dire che per le mie esigenze di navigazione non è un fattore molto importante.In conclusione è un ottimo prodotto, ben fatto e funziona bene. Lo consiglio sicuramente!

Buscaba algo fiable que me diese 100x 100 los datos y este Hardware lo es mi conexión es de 1G 1000mB y gracias a esto puedo conectarlo y da la conexión que tengo!!,. lo recomiendo totalmente 👍
