This antenna was a pain at the beginning to get installed and recognized by Home Assistant. I tried a handful of different firmwares on this device in order to get it recognized. Once connected, it hasn't failed yet. There was minor downtime for a few days, but that was due to the 2.0 zigbee2mqtt update and getting breaking changes resolved. As stated before, I have this connected to Home Assistant. I have various knobs, buttons & switches which have all been easily recognized, interviewed, and connected via this antenna.

If you're buying this for Home Assistant Green, buy yourself a short USB extension. The size of the USB dongles body will interfere with the power cord for HA green. Nothing wrong with the Sonoff dongle, just HA Green is pretty compact. After that just add the zigbee integration and then your devices will start being detected. Works great

Bought this to test out Zigbee2MQTT in Home Assistant but I already had a ZHA radio in the same area which was having it's own issues and between that and Wifi interference, I didn't have a good experience - not that any of this was Sonoff's fault. Once I cleared up my Wifi issues, I moved to a POE Zigbee radio which solved my problems. The good news was that I didn't lose my investment in the Sonoff because you can flash it as a router instead of a main coordinator. Flashing was easy and straight forward and once I got it paired to my new network, it does an AWESOME job as a router - I now have great signal strength in the farthest corner of my house and paring the stuff I still had yet to migrate was a much better experience.

Literally no set up is necessary. I have this plugged into a home, assistant Green and it works fabulously. Very solid construction and you can tell it’s not some 3-D printed add-on. I would suggest that you get a USB extension cable to keep it away from whatever system you have Home Assistant running on.

I have 3 of these, one I flashed as a coordinator and 2 as routers for range extension. They are absolutely flawless. I've been using them for close to 2 years now and have never had any issues. My zigbee network has been rock solid with just over 100 zigbee devices online. I can't recommend a product more impressive than this. Don't forget mileage may vary for you depending on interference in and around your residence. Disable the channel on your wifi that your zigbee will use to ensure a happy experience.

I needed a Zigbee hub and this one is highly recommended for Home Assistant. You just plug it in and it is auto detected and installed.. or at least that’s what is supposed to happen.I ordered this in ‘ok’ condition from Amazon Warehouse to save about $7. The device came in a plain box and looked brand new. Plugged it in.. was recognized by Home Assistant, but when I tried to install it that kept failing. The logs showed some config settings weren’t being applied properly.Did some research online and followed the steps to flash the latest version of firmware onto this device. It was a major pain to do this, but I finally got the new firmware installed. Plugged this into my Home Assistant PC and it was detected, then the installation worked no problems. Yay! Was able to pair some Zigbee devices with no issues either. Has been working well for a couple of weeks. So why didn’t it work right away? I think someone may have flashed it as a Zigbee router instead of a repeater. Or maybe someone else tried to flash it, and it only partially worked, leaving the device in a broken state. I figure they tried to get this working, failed, and then gave up and returned it to Amazon. And at Amazon they look at it and see it looks OK so just resell it as working. I doubt Amazon was able to test this before reselling it. If so they would have known it was broken…I’m glad I was able to fix it, but was it worth the $7 in savings? No way! It took me about 3 hours of hacking/troubleshooting to get this working. I was very pleased to get it fixed, but next time if it doesn’t work right away, I will return it and buy a brand-new one, which I’m confident would work right out of the box. The only reason I didn’t return this was because I really wanted to get this set up during the weekend and it would have been another 2 day wait to have Amazon ship me a new one.Lesson learned!
