Put in pond with my blooming water lilies and it has done nothing

The lily stem arrived with dead and decomposing leaves. I went ahead and put it in the pot and planted it to give it a chance to see if any new leaves would come out but they did not. I would not buy this product again since it arrived dead.

its been 20 days since I planted these & nothing has sprouted.

The lilly has bloomed as expected this year, planted in early spring. So far I have had 3 lovely blooms but it is not red. It is a very pale pink. I am very disappointed in this as I chose red for a reason. I gave it 2 stars because it has lived and bloomed. However it is not what I purchased.

Ordered 2, got 1 free as promised. All 3 waterlilies are doing well now. My order unexpectedly arrived early and stayed in the mail box on a hot day for about 6 hours.I attached the photos of the waterlilies when they first arrived and when they were at 3 weeks later.
