My granddaughters were happy to receive this gift. And I was happy to know there will be less screen time for them!

This kit started off well. There was everything I needed, plus extra, there were video instructions, pdf instructions, and the yarn was adorable! The chenille yarn is soft and the colour is so pretty. I would love to buy more skeins of it! It was easy to work with, as was the white beginner yarn.Making the body was quick and easy and turned out great. The snout and ears were also relatively easy. However, the face was when it went downhill. It seemed quite complex for a beginner and really didn’t end up being very symmetric. There were no instructions on where to place the eyes, and barely any instructions for sewing.Many of the instructions are not in the pdf version, but you don’t realize until you watch the videos and realize there are steps that were missing. Sewing the ears was complex and no instructions were given, you just had to watch the video a bunch of times and try to follow along.So while the face and sewing was quite frustrating, he ended up turning out OK in the end. He’s pretty cute and looks like a furby. However, I would not attempt this one if it is your first project.

I got this for my daughter so she could learn to crochet animals. She started it with the use of the directions which was easy, design is adorable, the yarn is just the right thickness. She’s enjoyed it.

This is a great kit and does break everything down with a pattern and videos which would be helpful for beginners. It may be challenging for younger children, but I think older children could definitely do it. It is a very fun project and it’s a great value since you get to crochet three different things. The only issue I have is that the pattern for the wings does not seem to be right. I still haven’t figured that out. However, the supplies are great quality and good items to have.

I love to crochet, but haven't tried amigurumi until now, and this kit was a fun one to start with. It comes with most everything you need, including yarn that's easy to see the stitches with, safety eyes, stitch markers, a yarn needle and instructions. The instructions were not fantastic---they didn't divide the three creatures you could make into 3 sets of instructions, but just told how to make the various parts of each, which was a touch confusing, and the video didn't follow the same sequence as the written instructions. But using the two together, I got a good idea how to make things! The results were...cute. A little flawed, but I would say that's mostly my own fault. I did find that when sewing on the various parts, the needle tended to piece the wide flat yarn and then not want to pull the yarn through, which was frustrating. I switched to my own blunter tipped needle. But overall, I liked the kit, and it's a lot cheaper than some of the brand name kits out there!

This is the third crochet kit that I've ordered now even though I'm still working on the first one I got. Crocheting is something I've wanted to learn for a while now since it's something that my grandmother had tried teaching me as a child. I kept seeing kits like this and new I just had to try them. I saw this kit and that they were charging half of what a lot of the other kits were so I had to get it. Despite them not charging as much for it, they still include most of the same things that the more expensive kits do and the quality is just as good. These kits come with every thing you need in order to finish the project. This one comes with a card with a QR code on it that takes you to the tutorial videos you need to watch in order to make the cow. It also comes with yarn, stuffing, 2 crochet hooks of different sizes, a yarn needle, stitch markers, and eyes. I was a little disappointed that the kit doesn't include scissors like most of the other kits do but I already have 3 pairs so it wasn't really needed. It also didn't include a guide book or a pattern. The other two kits I got had a guide book that shows you how to do the basic stitches you need to know which I think is really important. Now they may have videos showing you these basic stitches but I think it's helpful to be able to see how to do it in print as well. Not having a pattern with it I think is a little strange also. There are people who use these kits that do know how to read them and would rather use the pattern instead of watching the videos. Again they may have a pattern on their website that you can use but I think having it in print would be much easier. People that can't read it yet still may find it useful as you do learn as you work on the project. Even though I'm still be on my first kit, I kept referring to the pattern for that one while watching the video tutorials and it started helping me be able to read it. It also helped me to be able to follow along and not get lost. Despite this kit not having those things, you still can do everything you need to in order to finish this project so I'm not going to take any stars off for this. One of my favorite things about this kit is the yarn that you use for the body of the cow. It's this super soft and fluffy type of yarn that's super pretty. I have no idea if it's any harder to work with than the other yarn included but once I do get to work on this one and finish it, I'll edit this review to give my thoughts on it. These kits are great for people of all ages to use including kids. With it being so affordable it would be great to get mutlple of the same kits and all work on them together as a family. It's also a great way to relax and just focus on doing something creative. I would highly recommend working on this when you're not distracted at all as it's super easy to get lost or to make a mistake. if your work doesn't look like the work in the video, you probably have made a mistake and need to start over. It's super easy to rip all your stitches out so you can start over as many times as you need to. Pay close attention to what the pattern is or you can mess it up very easily. When they tell you to repeat something, make sure you know what all stitches need repeated. I kept making the mistake of only including some of the stitches and forgetting about the first stitch with the kit I'm working on now. I also kept losing track of what stitch count or row I was on so I had to start writing it down. While it can be easy to mess up, once you get the hang of it, it becomes a lot easier to do. I definitely think these kits are worth purchasing especially at such an affordable price.

This NestledCrafts crochet kit is an excellent gift idea for kids and beginners. The step-by-step video tutorials make learning easy, and the pumpkin designs are perfect for Halloween decorations. It’s a fun, creative family activity. Only drawback is the yarn could be thicker.
