I ordered this simply because it was a beautiful red, but it's also very thick and sturdy.

This makes a pretty good cup of coffee. Easy cleanup. We use it when traveling and it is convenient to not have to go out to find coffee - and saves $$ as well.

UPDATE: This beautiful dripper has NO splashing issue if it's used correctly. Thinking is required. It's a 4-cup dripper according to Melitta. If you are brewing 1 or 2 cups of coffee into your cup, you are using one-half of the dripper capacity. Therefore you NEVER fill the dripper with hot water up to the rim! That's trying to rush the process. That's why it's splashing. I make one cup at a time. I fill the dripper with my one-cup of ground coffee and add hot water up to the 1/2 full level of the dripper. I have never had a single splash this way. If you make 4 cups in this dripper, it won't splash because that amount of coffee will slow down the brewing to prevent splashing. No splash again. Think about how much coffee you are making. Fill the dripper accordingly. No splash. This is a fabulous coffee brewer. First, it's just beautiful! The red Tritan polymer is very close to the feel of glass. It's heavy compared to plastic, but lighter than glass. It's a substantial device, it will last for many years. I just made a fantastic cup of coffee with it, exactly the same as my Melitta porcelain brewer. I couldn't be more pleased, I just ordered a second one! Perfect!

My Mom has this in white but I believe hers is porcelain or some sort of ceramic. I always enjoyed using hers growing up, I liked the feel and the weight of it but inevitably, eventually it broke. This red model is made from plastic so I'm guessing I'll have it for years and years to come. I think it looks stylish, it's easy to use and obviously perfect for making coffee for one person.

While it's painful to spend $20 on something that used to cost $8, this is a wonderful pour-over brewer. It's really nice, thick, heat-proof plastic (MUCH better quality than the newer cheaper version). It is stable on a mug or thermos, it holds a metal or paper filter just fine, and I use it almost every day. Works great for pour-over and filtering cold brew.It replaced a Chemex, which are too fragile and a pain to clean, with very overpriced filters.I recommend a #2 filter for this.

I love all things coffee and get really happy when I see a product made very well made. This plastic dripper is one such item. I started my journey in coffee with a humble Melitta Ready set joe a decade back. I have tried Harios , Eva solos , kalitas and hundred other brewers in the last decades but always find myself coming back to Melitta. This newer signature style is truly a proud and elegant representation of the 100 plus year old German company.I loved the porcelain version of this style and wanted to try the plastic version for travel. It’s an work of art and truly well made Tritan plastic and it glitters like glass. It’s built like a tank and it’s better than other Hario or other plastic drippers out there. Form follows function and every single detail like ridges on the side , hole size and it looks really beautiful. It’s not an wonder as this company found “pour over coffee” a century back and honestly Melitta Bentz would be really proud of this product ! One the side note I use this for travel and use the porcelain version of everyday home use. Amazing Product! highly recommended!

To start, this is a good all around pour over. I’ve used several different droppers over the years, and this is good choice. For those who may not know: Like the Kalita 102, and I’m sure most others, it seems to be designed to be used with a folded filter. Simply fold the two sealed edges. This makes a difference in its functionality, and makes it flow correctly and not run on the edge of the device, then on the counter. It’s also is made of a good strong plastic, and should last.Update: Yes, I still have issues with this particular pour over making a mess of my countertop. Ha. Even with a properly folded filter, it will rarely pool up on the rim and in turn onto the counter..
