It was okay but honestly the filter is so small for the size of the carafe you cant put too much coffee in. I think if the filter fit the inside of the carafe better it would be a great Kinto alternative. Nice product but not super efficient

I bought this for a vacation home, ended up liking it, and now use it at home. I truly appreciate the volume markings are in actual values (oz/mls) rather than the number of 5 oz cups. My mugs hold 10 oz of coffee plus milk, so the carafe holds enough for 2 mugs. If it is just for one person, the lid for the carafe helps to hold in the heat. Because it is glass and the heat loss is quick, I put the carafe on a folded towel or pot holder. It uses a number 2 filter. I recommend not going with very thin Melita style filters. The bottom of the glass dripper has a large hole and does not completely support the bottom of the Melita filters. I have ripped a couple of them when pouring the water too fast. When I used two of the thin Melita filters it worked just fine.

I wanted a simpler way of making a small cup of coffee without without having to use an automatic machine or dispenser and this is perfect and actually pretty to leave out. Good size seems durable enough.

This works great for 1-3 cups of coffee. The esthetics on this is just on point. I love it. Please note, this is for slow pour over. As in, slowly drips, not fast coffee machine. If you're looking to make fast coffee, do not get a pour over or drip coffee. The filter does not get clogged up. However, it is best used when rinseed/washed in between uses. Meaning after pouring in water for about 2 cups, you need to throw out the beans, rinse/wash the filter and then use it to make more coffee. The only "fast" pour over makers are the ones you use paper filter with. Hope this helps.

The holder is made from many pieces of cut wood. It comes apart quite easily. I bought this four months ago and it started breaking down two months after I purchased it. I've tried to no avail to keep it together with wood glue, nope...nothin' doin' - doesn't last. It's not made to come in contact with any liquid. Which is a shame, since it's made to use with coffee, tea, etc.
