This pump has been on, non-stop, for over 3 years with no issues. Wry well built, and lasting. We use this for a closed-circuit animal water system. Combined with a winter tank warmer and in-line filter, this pump runs all day, everyday, even through the winter.Have even had the tank run dry on a few occasions (which I don’t recommend) and this pump keeps working solid.Love when I find a product that not only does what it says it does but also is built to last.Highly recommend this pump.

Pump seems pretty solid. Never hear any noise really. Now my airpump is a complete different story. Only complaint if any, not being able to adjust the flow rate. Of course, could easily put something on the tubing to help reduce the flow rate.Definitely doesn't feel like some cheap pump. Pump has some weight. Just feels well made.Another reason for buying this pump, distance of flow rate going upwards in feet. The flow goes up 5 feet to a swirl filter. Just know this pump works perfectly for my aquaponic system. Going to purchase another soon as a backup pump.Update: so I am still impressed by this pump. Had a recent issue with my mystery snails. Every so often, they would crawl on the screenlet cover piece. They somehow stick their heads through. Basically thought I lost them. Nope, tough snails and very tame. So reason why im posting, is how this pump has threads. I am putting together a course sponge to attach instead of this cover piece. You can see by the photo. I have a threaded piece in and part of a power head cover. Snails won't get stuck now.So this pump has options which is really great. Works well for the price. 😉

I recently installed a 15 foot 48 inch deep swimming pool. I made a cheap solar heater with some black hose on plywood and a black mat. I ordered the pump to run water through the black pipe. The cord was long enough to allow the plug to rest on the bottom of the pool and still have cord outside. The hose is running full diameter through the system and back into the pool with no problems and the water is coming out 2 degrees warmer. Very pleased with the pump and the price was remarkably low compared to other types of pumps. I think I could even add another length of hose and it would be fine. Hope it lasts the summer.

2020 Edit: After nearly 4 years of continuously running the return for my reef aquarium this pump was finally retired. It still pushes water though like on day 1 but wear has made it start to get noisy with a louder hum now. It was replaced by a DC pump that is absolutely dead silent so in the end it did get replaced by another expensive pump. It goes to my closet to serve as a backup pump. Stick it in a pond where moouse is not an issue and who knows how long it could last.Original Review; This is for the 770GPH one. I got this pump with he intention of getting a much more expensive one down the road. But I plugged it in and it suprised me how powerful and quiet it was. It has now been running in my 40B display reef, 29G sump pushing water up about 4 feet everyday for the past 2 years and some months without a problem. I have a ball valve to the return line since full flow is too much for my tank. It is the quietest device in my system. Even my lights fans are louder than this pump. A good cheap pump on a budget.

With a recent update to R.O. water I needed a way to get the water from the holding bucket to the tank and this does well for that. It emptied a 5 gallon pail in just over a minute with a four foot rise.

I've had this pump running in my freshwater sump. Pumps well, seems to pump as hard as my other pump that is 800 GPH also! I like this company good price decent product. Time will tell but they seem well built and quiet

it’s a good little pump, I bought in July 2017, it’s been going summer and winter and is still going ! In winter I keep my goldfish in a 45 gallon plastic barrel and use a filter system made out of a Kirkland detergent pail and 1/2 inch pvc pipe. I don’t glue the connections, just friction fit.

I bought this to run with some 1/2" tubing I had. Product is supposed to have come with a 1/2" adapter, it did not. I'm having to purchase 3/4" tubing to proceed with project adding more unnecessary costs.Update: Company contacted me promptly to see about making everything right with the purchase. The offered a partial refund which was sufficient. I can say that he product works great. I'm using it in an NFT hydroponic system for tomatoes and it's moving water perfectly. It's not 770GPH by any measure, but it works perfectly for my purposes and moves volume enough. The pump itself is EXTREMELY quiet, the only noise I hear from my rig is on the return hose dropping back into the reservoir - but the pump itself is nearly silent even with the lid off of the reservoir and return hose clamped. I will be expanding my grow system soon, and will likely purchase another of these, probably in a higher GPH to ensure I'm moving more than sufficient volumes across the NFT channels.

I bought this pump to serve as a keg/carboy washer for homebrewing. I'm using it for a short duty cycle (30 mins) spraying cleaning solutions on my equipment. I've used it several times over the last few weeks and am satisfied. It's quite quiet for a pond/sump-style pump. The large slots in the black plastic covers serve as a basic pre-filter.It includes 2 plastic barb fittings that can screwed into the housing, which is pretty standard for this type of pump. The fitting has an o ring at the seat to prevent leaks through the fitting. In my experience, the fittings used inside these pumps are NPT, but usually a slightly thicker different thread thickness than the standard brass plumbing fittings you'll find in a Canadian hardware store. If you want to adapt this pump to off-the-shelf hardware, it's trivial to glue a standard PVC adapter onto the barb connector and continue from there. That's not a concern about this pump - I've owned several pumps of this style over the years and they all follow this standard.4 suction cups attach to the black base plate (which you insert and turn 90 degrees to secure, rather than some cheaper pumps that use a friction fit). I'm quite happy with how strong the suction cups are. The base plate slides into the pump housing, so you can detach the pump without having to pop off all the suction cups first.Inside is a standard magnetic impeller and a one-piece cover plate. Disassembles very easily for cleaning.

This thing is awesome. I have a problem with flooding in my yard, and was searching for a solution. I have used pool cover pumps before, but they look ugly sitting out in the yard, and have to be taken out and put away over and over.I started searching on Amazon and found this guy: . I dug a hole at the deepest spot of the flooding area. I put some gravel in the bottom of the catch basin to try to act as a filter - since some dirt and leaves are bound to get in. Then I set in this little pump. The input/output holes in the catch basin are meant for traditional corrugated drainage pipe, but with a little creativity (and a utility knife and duct tape) I was able to create/modify covers for the holes that would fit the power cord for the pump as well as the output hose (this is what I used: ).I buried the drainage hose in our lawn, but had the end pop out against the fence, so the water has somewhere to go. Since the flooding area is right up against our patio, I was able to hide the power cord behind our potting shelf and grill. One thing to note - the power cord on this is short, so if you are planning on using it for the same purpose I am, you will want an extension cord!We got a super heavy rainstorm just a few nights ago. I plugged in our pump, and away it went! It is completely silent and drained all of the water off of our patio in about a half hour. I'm not sure how many gallons it was, but the water was 5 inches deep at the deepest. This pump comes with directions on how to take it apart and clean it, which I anticipate having to do since I'm not using it on clean water. I can just unscrew the top off the catch basin, disconnect the hose, and pull it out for a good cleaning.I am super happy with this purchase and would recommend this pump to anyone!
