When first plugged in the pump is very fast and quiet. Works great but over the period of a day it slows down to about a quarter flow. If I simply unplug and plug the pump back in, the process repeats every time. The pump sits three feet under water and pumps straight up and dumps water out one foot above water level. The water tank is very clean, the only hose in the system is very clean, the voltage coming from the outlet never changes, I have removed and checked the pump several different times. So for four months now, I have repeatedly unplugged and plugged the pump back in on a regular basis.

I bought this KEDSUM pump to use on a patio fountain that has about a five and a half foot lift. It's got plenty of power to push that plus a lot more. I had to really baffle it down to get to the flow rate I needed, and it got loud enough that I could hear it run. I put a splitter in the line between the pump and the fountain, opening both sides of the splitter, using one side for the fountain and the other side to circulate the water in the basin at the bottom of the fountain (about 175 gallon). After opening the splitter and running a lot more water through the pump, it runs so quite I can't hear it. The pump has flow control, but it's limited. No big deal since you can put a valve in the line and squeeze it to whatever you want. I can't speak for the endurance. I've had it about 2 weeks and I'm running it 24/7. So I'll come back and update after I've had it a while. In the meantime, I'm very pleased with this purchase, and think it's well worth the money.

The Kedsum 880gph submersible pump arrived quickly and whoever shipped it did a awesome job on protecting it during transport. Glad to see it has a nice long cord and 3 prong electrical plug. It should also last a long time with using the ceramic shaft as those metal one tend to wear out after a few years. I got it installed today and it seems to be more powerful than my previous pump. I actually had to turn the dial down a little as the 55 gallon barrel filter wasnt able to keep up with the ammount of water it was putting out. I am running it with a 2" pipe and a 1.5" rigid hose which allows it to run at it's maximum performance (with a 3' lift). My koi couldn't be happier and look like they are going to start spawning soon = ) Time to get the Hyacinths floating plants for them to lay their eggs on... Highly recommend and 2 thumbs wayyyy up!

Updated: The seller sent me a new pump after my first one did not function properly. I have changed my review from 2 to 5 stars since the seller corrected the problem quickly and without me even asking for a new pump. So, although it may have been frustrating to get a defective pump the first time, I am very happy with this seller's response. The new pump works perfectly!Original Review:The pump volume is good once it starts flowing, but that is the challenge. For some reason, the only way I can get it to start pumping is to pull it out of the water and then put it back in. I have to do it several times before it starts pumping water. If I try to start it submerged, it just vibrates and acts like it can't get primed. I've tried gently tapping on it under water, but that doesn't work. So it won't work for any kind of water feature where I have to leave it submerged. Once running and pumping, it stays on just fine. But it's flowing water the whole time I try to get it back into position under water. Maybe this is just a defect in the one I got.

It is a nice design and easy to adjust. For its size it is very powerful and really circulates the water and is adjustable. Nice item I purchased.

I got this pump to push water into my watering system in my greenhouse. I have about 40' of 3/4" hose with smaller 1/4" outlets coming off that, with various sprinkler/drip system heads on each end. I have no issues watering a 8x16' greenhouse using this pump and a timer. The pump sits in the bottom of my rain barrel and has no trouble providing my plants with the water they need every day. The pump shuts off if the water in my barrel gets too low. Of course I try to prevent that so as to not burn out the pump, but there was a couple times my timer was set wrong and this pump emptied a 55 gallon drum in minutes. Needless to say my plants were soaked, but the pump shut off once the water level dropped.I have tried other pumps which seemed to have trouble with particulates in the water clogging the pump and shutting it off. My rain barrel has algae in it and who knows what else that gets in the water that drains off my greenhouse into the guttering system. I have not had any problem with clogging with this pump.The suction feet I had to take off because they worked so well that I couldn't get the pump off the bottom of the barrel during the test phase, The weight of it alone is sufficient that I don't need the suction cup feet but they do grip really well.If I ever have to replace this pump, I will definitely buy another one. I can't say enough good things about it.

Arrived early. Works as advertised.The only cons for this pump is that the suction feet do not stay on. They easily slip of the support mount. I have not been able to figure a way to secure them better.Also it would be great if Kedsum offered a backup impeller, rod kit for back up fixing
