So far so good. I bought this pump to use as a submersible pump in my aquarium sump. It's been up and running for a month now and no issues. I like that they include multiple fittings for flexibility. It also has a wave maker setting that adjust the flow up and down to simulate natural water movement. The only small issue I have is not having a dedicated feed button. You can hold the power button for 3 seconds and it will pause the pump for 10 min but having a dedicated button is nice. If you accidentally shut it off instead of going to feed mode the unit does remember the last setting and comes back on at that setting if you accidentally shut it off.Overall a good unit for the money.

The controller was a nice touch, and I liked how it didn’t need to be submersible. The whole pump just gave out unfortunately.

I've had this pump for a year and a half in my sump for our 65 gallon aquarium and it's been flawless. The pump is nice and quiet as well. I run it at 312 gph and it only pulls 7 watts of power. Would definitely buy again.

Moves 2250gph max. Quiet operation if put inside a cabinet(inline) or used submerged... Lot of bang for your buck in comparison with other pumps with similar gph.

After about a year of use, the controller kept flickering on and off. Eventually, the controller died. The pump itself is good but the wiring for the controller is garbage...

I have been buying aquarium pumps for 50 to 55yrs and I have never been so satisfied with a pump as I am with this one. It works like they said it does and pumps the gph like advertised. It is a small pump and it is terrific. It runs so quiet that for the first few day I had to check it to make sure it was running.

There are many positive reviews from others, perhaps I got a bad unit. The seals between the hose fittings and the pump inlet/outlets just seem terribly designed, both from the perspective of the actual O-Rings and the sealing surfaces of the pump and fittings. There is barely any material on the inlet side for the O-ring to seal against. I found that consistently when tightening down the nut on the inlet fitting, it would basically squeeze the O-ring out of place rendering it completely useless. The outlet O-ring performed better but was still not ideal. After I was finally able to get the inlet to stop leaking with a lot of time, and silicone RTV, the main pump body seal was leaking!Taking apart the pump body I found that the O-ring for that seal seamed damaged and the sealing surface was scratched up as if the technician who built the pump was using a flathead screw driver to install the O-ring and gauged the sealing surfaces.I tried my best to seal the pump body and used more silicone. Eventually it seamed sealed enough but now the issue is the pump was sucking AIR while running now and was extremely loud because of all the bubbles it was pushing through the housing.

Excellent pump. Quiet and good control. Be aware that you will lose some flow rate with tubing, gravity, etc., so if you're looking for a full 800 GPH flow rate you might want to get a bigger model. Especially since you can turn down the flow rate. The pump's control panel is also very useful for fine tuning the system. Worth the extra cost.Only down side is that it allows for water backflow when paused or turned off, so make sure your sump/reservoir can handle the extra water backing in beforehand. Other higher end pumps will prevent this

SND-2000 model: Short term review only (several days). The Good: strong flow rate, even with high head hight. Also, pleasantly quiet considering the output. Construction seems solid and the interface is super simple and straightforward. The Bad: The flow rate is too much for my needs. States 520 GPH/20W in the description. After I received it, the owner’s manual rates the pump at 660 GPH/22 W which seems more accurate. I have not tested the actual output, but it seems higher than 520GPH. Also, the “rheostat” is supposed to reduce flow by “30%”, but it definitely doesn’t reduce it by any more than 50% (not measured, but the reduction is barely perceptible).Summery: Excellent pump if you’re looking for a flow rate on the upper end of its rated spectrum. Don’t expect a great reduction on output from the adjustments. You could always add a valve to reduce, but this has been known to significantly shorten the life of pumps in general.
