Great pump, especially for the price. I put this into my 30 gallon bow front. It provides great movement and is silent.

The top photo shows my 2023 425GPS Hydor Nano Pump and the bottom shows my 2024 565 GPH model. This is not a typo. I thought that maybe the 565 fan may have some new shape or spins at a higher rate so I tested it out. Nope. This new 565 GPH model is not even remotely as powerful as my old 425GPH model. However, in this recent purchase, I also ordered another 425 GPH model and it is also the same size as this new 565 GPH model and also just as weak.I have been ordering Hydor Koralia Nano pumps since 2012 but they have lost my business after this ridiculous change.

Great product and pump. Has a lot of strength and water flow is wonderful when you use it. Most of all its quiet and you don't hear it. I wish this company made a wavemaker. The size isnt too small for a nano tank making it easy to position. The larger sizes do tend to jump quite a bit in size and weight.

I didnt see the need for this in our aquarium. Hubby got it and so I put it in. I’m glad to say I was wrong! Our tank has been healthier and our fish seem to love it. It helps feed our bamboo shrimp too. He is frequently perched wither in front of the powerhead or by the intake. It also helps super oxygenate the water as some of the bubbles get sucked up then pulverized into tiny bubbles and strewn across the tank. I like it so much that this is the second one we’ve purchased. The first one eventually quit on us.

Amazon should not be selling this pump to UK consumers. It comes with a USA moulded plug and is rated at 115v 60Hz, not the 240v 50Hz that we operate on here in the UK.Didn't realise this until I had cut the moulded plug off and fitted it with a UK 3 pin plug. Plugged it in - the noise was alarming and at that point I realised that this pump is for USA market and not UK.Going to try to return this, but as I've cut the plug off I'm not so sure my return is going to be that successful - oh well :-(

I only recently, this year, started a Saltwater Aquarium. With so many parts and options out there, it has been difficult to decide on products and brands. However, I can't suggest this device enough. It works exactly as intended. When I first started, all I had was fish and rock so a single pump was all that was required to keep them happy and healthy. It's quiet, smooth, and the easiest installment of this entire build. I couldn't be happier. Since the entire unit is held on to the glass by two large magnet (One outside the tank and one on the device itself), it makes moving the device or making small adjustments a gift from heaven because I don't have to get my hand wet at all.Now that I'm starting to add Corals to my Tank, a second pump was Suggested but not entirely Required. I have zero complaints or problems with this product and I don't plan on using any other brand. If you're looking for a Pump, then I highly recommend giving this one a try. Especially if you are on a budge build. It's worth the price.Tank Size: 29 GallonsPump Size: 425 GPHLifespan (So far): 1 Month

Hi, I currently can not give my product five stars because I only have 5 days of usage. Product works fine , no noise whatsoever my fishes (Guppies) in my 20G high seem to not mind it at all. I put the powerhead a little below half way and it seems to reduce the flow for my guppies to swim at the top. Strong flow but not too intense, helped reduce my green hair algae in five days. Perfect for CO2 distribution.Update: Upgraded to Four stars since it's been working for two weeks. Some Hair Algae slipped thru the powerhead and at some time a part of a leaf but it's still working.Update : started making noises every now and then but stops after a while. I'm just going to leave the product at four stars but for the price this product is great.

To start my review I would like to state that even though a power head says its for a 20G tank and you have a 20G tank, doesn't mean you can only by one power head and be like "Yay, I have flow everywhere!". You need more than one to achieve appropriate flow through your tank, especially if you are hosting corals. If hosting corals you need to have at least 30x the flow vs volume of your tank. So if you have a 20 gallon nano you would need at LEAST 600 gallons per hour of water movement.I have seen people complain about the tank ratings post by Koralia saying they are inaccurate but I beg to differ. The ratings are there to guide you which power head provides USEFUL FLOW WITHOUT POSSIBLY UPSETTING INHABITANTS. With that said, I have had experience with all three Koralia nano power heads so I will be reviewing all three.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------All three pump generally are designed the same way. I find them very reliable and quiet but they can click when they start up so using them with a wave maker can be annoying. The magnetic mounting is probably the best feature. No more suction cup issues here! You can even slide the magnet on the external side of the glass to move or adjust the location of the pump. These magnets are STRONG so be careful not to let them slam up against your glass! Directing the power head is a little meh. The amount of tilt you get is limited and the power cord works against you and gets in the way. They all come apart the same way and are generally easy to clean. Now for the individual remarks......First up is the Hydor Koralia Nano 240!!! This pump is pretty timid. It could be used solo in a 5 gallon. For a 10 or 15 you should consider getting 2 unless you are getting some decent water movement from another source such as a Hang-On Back Filter. Another useful feature is to simple remove that one annoying dead spot in larger tanks. They are small and can be nicely hidden from sight.Second up is the Hydor Koralia Nano 425!! This is a sweet little pump and works great for water movement. I had three ( an example of needing more than one which came out to 1275 gallons per hour ) in a tall 25 gallon marine tank and they did a great job! From personal experience I wouldn't used these in a tank longer than 24" like a 20 gallon long ( 30" long tank ). It can't really reach far enough to the other end.Lastly is the Hydor Koralia Nano 565!! This a new nano pump from Hydor, The pump basically looks like a 425 but with some mods to push more water. It works fabulous and if you have a 20-40 gallon tank, I would skip over the 425 and go straight to these. The extra flow is worth it, especially if your tank is of the marine type.Overall these pumps are great. They run quiet and don't need lots of maintenance. There are fancier pumps out there for sure, but spending $50 on these versus $200 on those, these pumps are a win.

I've had this pump before and they are top notch. Works perfectly in my 10 gallon cube, and is so much easier to hide smaller then the Fluval Sea stock circulation pump which is a lot bigger and more difficult to hide, I will be buying another to replace the Fluval one as 2 pumps work better then 1 at keeping up good flow on the display side. For the price point this is the best circulation pump you will find in my opinion. It's also not made in China like a lot of aquarium items are, but made in Italy which seems to provide a better quality product overall.I don't find the 240 bad for a 10 gallon cube when used in conjunction with another pump, not sure I would use just 1 240 in a 10 gallon and up though, but I always use 2 smaller pumps vs 1 larger one so I can get more random flow and for my purpose this size is perfect.Amazon's price was a bit higher, but with being a Prime member it still came out cheaper then another online store who was 3 dollars cheaper but would have charged 9 in shipping so despite the higher price on Amazon, it was cheaper in the end.

I have a 29g Biocube and I think I've finally settled on this pump to accompany the return pump in the tank. The return by itself does not move enough water around, but with this one added into the setup it seems to keep most of my corals happy. I've had this pump installed for about two months and everything has been going good so far. There are a couple great things about these Hydor Koralia pumps, most notably the price and also the magnets used to attach the pump to your tank wall. It's simple, clean, and easy to move or remove for cleaning. In addition, the pump is very quiet and can barely be heard when running. The only suggestion I would have for this unit is to disperse the water out a bit more as it seems to be pretty directed.Pros:+ Lower price than competitors+ VERY quiet when in operation+ Magnet attachment systemCons:- Concentrated flow where pump is directed, seems like lower GPH as a resultOverall this pump gets the job done and is a good bargain for your money. However, when purchasing a Hydor Koralia pump, be sure to get a larger pump than what you THINK you need, simply because the concentrated flow seems to result in a slightly lower GPH than advertised.
