I wasn't able to install this starter until yesterday, due to the extremely cold weather we have had. I should have tested the starter before beginning, but wanted to get my Jeep running again. Unfortunately, now that the starter has been installed, it still does not turn over unless the housing is tapped, indicating a bad solenoid in the "new" unit. Of course, the return window is now closed. Buyer beware, there's a reason this part is so cheap!

For the most part, a simple install on my 2000 jeep grand Cherokee. Had to get underneath to access the old one. Only two main bolts and a wiring harness.Took me about 2hrs, but beats paying the mechanic $450 that he wanted to charge me. No thanks

Swapped starter in and out in less than an hour. Fit was perfect, started worked perfectly.This was the first time I had ever swapped a starter as I always thought it was a bigger job. When I looked into it I found that I had been way overthinking it. This was a piece of cake job. Again, thank you to the online video brigade for supplying the how-to videos.

* CORRECT STARTER,ARRIVED EARLY AND WAS VERY APPRECIATED, GREAT PRICE , HOWEVER * MAKE SURE TO CHECK ALL AND ANY BOLTS AND SCREWS , SOLENOID PHILLIPS/ROBERTS BOLT WAS NOT TIGHT AT ALL WAS COMPLETELY LOOSE. AFTER ADDING THREAD LOCK TO BOLTS WITH NO LOCK OR FLAT WASHERS , AND CHECKING REST GOOD TO GO. INSTALLED NO PROBLEMS , AMP DRAW OK , GOOD STARTER FOR THE PRICE FOR SURE. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY WORKS GREAT STRONG SOLID ENGAGEMENT AND FAST START-UP. WOULD BUY AGAIN !

I was nervous because the price was half of retail stores and reputable online stores. After some research I decided it couldn't hurt since I was saving money. It's a perfect fit for my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Matching spots for bolts and wires. Started up like a beast. I highly recommend this part and vendor. Hopefully it lasts for years to come.
