Exact fit for 99 ram 3500 5.9l cummins 47re transmission. The quality is great and has functioned perfectly after 5k miles.

Took about hour and a half. Fit perfectly in a 1999 dodge ram diesel that was lagging and not starting. You will need a star 12 pt 10mm socket and end wrench and a 3/8 drive wratchet with short and long extension.

Fits perfect, easy install. I have owned this truck for over 15 years and it has never started so quick! This starter turns over the engine way faster than the rebuilt i put in a few years ago. Would recommend to anyone.

Update - It's been one month since I installed this starter and it's still cranking the engine as well as it did the day I installed it. So far I'm very happy with this starter.Original review - My old starter was getting weaker with the colder weather and I decided it was time to replace it. I ordered this starter based on price and reviews, and installed it.What a difference, my Cummins now starts right away, no more crossing my fingers and praying for it to start. The starter has a strong feel to it and doesn't feel cheap at all, time will tell if it was a good purchase or not and I will update my review as time goes.

This started fit on my 12 valve as it should, was easy to installed, seemed to be of good quality, works as it should starts way faster than it did with the old tired starter. This is a great starter for the money and I would buy it again.
