We were able to drill 25+ holes in 11" ice with no slow down. Seemed like there was plenty of battery left.

I owned a gas auger for years, always wanted an electric one, so when I found this one I jumped at it. I took it up into the mountains on a trip. Drilled 10+ holes at 22”, on way home I stopped at a local lake and drilled 40+ holes at 6”. According to ION SPECS, it will do 1200” of ice, so I may of used 1/4 battery. Can’t imagine a trip where I would need more than that. Very pleased

I have had this out twice and I'll never go back to a gas auger. I drilled 45+ holes of 8 inch in 30 inches of ice, this thing never hesitated, note this is an early model and the newer one's are way lighter.

I am 100 pound female and I got to say this is easy to use I love it. Foot of ice no problem . No longer have to have help getting a auger started even in brutal cold. Well worth the money to me. I love ice fishing andnow I can go when I want and drill as much as I want.
