I was skeptical about getting a battery powered auger but this thing is amazing! Fast, smooth and powerful. And don't have to wait an hour for fumes to clear out of the fish house. After a year, I'm all in. I had my last jiffy since 2003. Only hope this thing holds up over time

Awesome auger that cuts real quick with no worries of gas spilling all over your equipment. Love the quietness and ease of use!!! Don't think your going to lose weight with the 40v 8" compared to the gas auger, about the same!! The auger itself is metal and heavy, but should last a lifetime. If weight is what your trying to eliminate, this isn't the one!! Great auger besides that and the battery lasts for over 90 holes in 10" of ice. More than I want to make in a day anyway!!

Don't know why I waited this long to get this auger but it was a excellent choice. Went ice fishing with about 7-8 inches of ice and it drilled like butter. Only problem I had with with this order is that the blade cover came broken. I reached out to amazon and they sent me a new one. I would recommend this auger to anyone that does not want to deal with gas auger again.

I’ve been ice fishing for over 50 years this auger is amazing. I tip up and jog fish drilling 20-30 holes every time I go out. The battery holds a charge so well that after the days fishing there is still 4 lights on the battery. I recommend to all my friends.

Best electric auger out there. Ion’s suck compared to this one! Don’t waste your money on an Ion. But the strike master instead! Cuts fast. Blades are awesome. It’s quiet as hell. The battery lasts all day in subzero temps. Highly recommended

One of the best things I've ever bought with my money. I drill the hole in forward motion. After I drill the hole through the ice, I hit the reverse button for a few seconds, and all the ice particles in the hole dissapear. Worth every penny. Wish I had this much sooner.
