Stopped using these but can’t return now. They attract a safe harbor for spiders! Ugh!

We have rabbits, squirrels, frogs, skunks, opossum, birds...... fall in our pool and these help to provide them a way of getting out instead of drowning.

I feel better having these in our pool so critters don’t drown. Only thing is that the mesh is always full of leaves that can’t get to the skimmer.

I bought this to replace frog logs that I had bought from another company a few years ago, which have become stained and discolored. At first I wasn't sure if I would like these new rescue floats, but I have since learned the best way to position them on the side of the pool. If you hang the sand bag over the edge of your pool rim, the whole pillow flips up in the water and it is useless. (That's the way my old frog logs worked.) If you just lay the sand bag flat on the pool rim, the pillow floats too far away from the edge of the pool and can easily become dislodged and go floating off into the middle of the pool. I found by folding the sandbag under once and then positioning it on the pool rim, it is much more stable and keeps the pillow back along the edge of the pool wall, which is the ideal position. Now that I figured that out, I'm very happy with the product, as well as the price.

Prior to having these floats in our pool, we would frequently have to skim out poor frogs, baby birds or cicadas out of the water. Some didn't make it. Since we installed these at the opening of our pool, we haven't had one incident of needing to rescue wildlife and I can only assume it is because they were able to get themselves out using the ramps. They're east to install over the top poles of the pool and you just inflate to small "pillow" and place it inside the base and you're done. The only complaint is that the flap that hangs over the pool gets knocked away when using the pool. You must remember to replace it over the pool side when the pool is not in use.

They are great for the pool and to make sure anything that falls in won't die in there.

product does not allow animals to save themselves by getting out, but it gives them a place to survive until you can rescue them. We have saved multiple frogs and even one baby bunny. That has made it worth the price. We would much rather rescue them off the pillow, then scoop them out dead on the bottom.

I got onto Amazon last week to get baskets that would clip onto the frame of the pool for drinks, phones, etc. While on that page I saw this product as something else I might be interested in. I’d never seen these before, and we’ve never had a mammal drown in our pool (can’t say that for insects, however). The baskets and Animal Escape Ramps arrived the same day. We spent the day in the pool and set these up after getting out of the pool for the day. Imagine our shock when we found a very wet and nearly drowned bat laying on the pad the next morning. It looked dead, but when we removed the pad, it stirred a bit. We took the pad out of the pool and put it in a spot out of direct sunlight. We checked it several times during the day; it moved slightly on the pad and was still breathing, but we didn’t expect it to last through the night. However, the next morning it was gone…since bats are nocturnal we’re hoping it was just resting from its ordeal during the day and gained enough strength to fly off after dark. If that’s the only time it fulfills its purpose, it was worth every penny to have saved that bat from drowning.

These things have cut down on the number of insects and frogs almost by 💯! That includes bees!!!! Zero frogs in my filter since they were put in. We are in the middle of a drought and everything is seeking water but not one animal/critter has ended up in my skimmer or drowned. 🙌🙌 So very easy to use. I put in 2 -one at each end of the pool and will never be without!!!!

Item is just as described and looks like it will work well to give critters a fairly easy escape route out of our in ground hot tub. Update: In addition to providing an escape route for little critters, it also offers them an easy way in to allow them access to get a drink of water on a hot day... a great bonus especially during dry summers like this year!!!

This floating frog pad ramp set up is very easy to install. You simply inflate a small balloon that floats in the base and that's about it.Everyone who owns a pool should have something similar to this. Even if it doesn't work, others will think you're at least a good person for caring for the little animals in your backyard that may unintentionally fall in the pool.I can't comment on how it will hold up in the Sunlight/UV. But I will update this review if I have any issues along the way.Highly recommended to any pool owner.

like that it's brightly coloured, so it's easily visible during the day and the reflection strips work very well at night. It doesn't take much light to make the reflection strips brilliantly light up and the gentle waves in the water will make sure it'll be seen. It's good that they used netting material around the platform. It makes an easy surface for little claws to grip on to and it sits at an angle allowing the animal to lift themselves up and out easier. Some thought was put into the design of this and I highly recommend!
