First of all, it was a headache to assemble. Not very stable. Very wobbly.

Flimsy unstable. No way will it support 300 lbs. on day to day usage. Hardware was missing or wrong size. Seller refused return with original packaging. Amazon sided with the seller. Selling crap like this gives Amazon a bad name.

Wanted something sturdy that we could lock because of our grandchildren. The directions were not easy to read- only pictures, the bolts were too short. My husband was so frustrated that he had to walk away. He finally got it together, put it in the pool, very unstable but we thought that it would get better once there was some weight on it. We also thought this would be perfect with the grandchildren. After their fun in the pool we could lock it up and not worry about them climbing back in unsupervised. 2 days after putting it in the pool it fell apart. Not sure what happened exactly. Came home from work and it was broken. Some of it was in the pool, some on the ground. So so disappointed. For $250 you’d think you purchased something better then this.If you’re looking to purchase this ladder, save yourself the headache, time, disappointment and money!!

The only thing I like about it it was easy to assemble but it’s very unstable and I’m not happy with it. Not worth the money at all.

The pool ladder itself is much stronger than the one that came with my pool. The platform itself is larger which is a plus. I like the swing up ladder for safety. As for assembling the ladder and use of it in the pool does not meet my expectation.First assembly. The instructions themselves really need revising. The photos do not show which bolts to use in each step. It was hard to tell from the instructions/photos which leg was the right or left. The swing ladder was easy to assemble. Once I started the assembly of the main ladder it became frustrating. The bolts for the boots were not long enough. The 1-1/2 inch screws will not work. I contacted the company by phone and explained the issue and they sent longer bolts overnight. They responded quickly. If you have a pool which is higher then 48 inches (mine is 54) the boots are necessary on the legs. To finish assembly I used the photos instead of written instructions. While assembly was still frustrating I was able to get the ladder assembled.Second, ladder use. I placed the ladder in the pool and the steps and legs filled with water. My concern is this. The ladder is by no means stable. I had to place weight on the ladder outside the pool for stability which helps but is not perfect. The water side of the ladder which is filled with water is not stable. Now, I did not secure the ladder to the rail of the pool since I am not pleased with the ladder because of stability issues. For the price of this ladder (the ladder is over priced), I would have wanted a ladder that was more stable. This ladder is not. Even if I bolted the ladder to the rim of my pool I think the stress on the bolts would only damage the rim of my new pool. As for swimmers entering my pool with this ladder, young or old, I would not feel comfortable having people use this ladder. When climbing the ladder to get in the pool the way to hang on is grabbing the top of the ladder. So if the ladder is not stable, the weight of any person will make the ladder pull out of the pool, or pull off the ground on the outside of the pool.If I could return the ladder for a refund I would. I really wasted my money on this ladder and I am very disappointed.

Very sturdy. Love the safety feature especially with kids around. Worth every penny.

The directions were too vague, we struggled assembling this. The bolts for attaching to pool were too long, we had to get different ones. Had a lot of difficulty with sizing. We finally got the top to sit on the pool rail, but the side in the water doesn’t touch the bottom so the pool mat doesn’t stay under it. Which worries me since this ladder highly recommends a mat. The padlock sticks and is hard to lock. I like the intended safety features of it but i don’t think I’d buy this again

Much better than those wedding cake pool ladders. Easy to install, sturdy and no sandbags needed.
