This worked perfectly for my generator installation. There’s cheaper ones on Amazon but this one has better quality lugs.

Code dictates I run 6/3 cable from my breaker box to this. Boy was it difficult wiring at the box end. Don't think for a moment you have enough room to make a fold, rather the wire must go almost directly to the terminals, then it takes a gorilla to press the cover on. (Well actually I used a big wood clamp to push thecover up and under the lip, along with two 2" c-clamps to close the bottom edge, until I could insert the screw.)Overall all the box is of high quality construction.

I purchased this Item with 50 amp twist lock plug. I needed 60 amp, so I did modify the unit with a 60 amp outlet and the depth and size of the unit worked great for four # 4 wire. Took a little modification but works great.

The box looks nice and is sturdy but was missing 2 of the screws to clamp the wires down. Picked them up at the local hardware store

Well built and enough room for the wires. I have used already during a power outage and it worked well.
