Works as advertised. Haven't checked the maximum range, but I can see the outside temperature reading at night, just what I wanted.

The GEEVON Thermometer/Hygrometer large display with remote probe is very well valued and comparable to far more expensive units on the market. The easy-to-read display of the home unit is flawless, with a backlit feature that is easy to turn off or on. Since I am powering the units with batteries, I turned that off, but the home display utint can also be powered via an included USB cable.I experimented warming up the remote probe in my hands and the temperature differential registered rapidly enough. I plan on keeping that in my crawlspace to monitor humidity and keep the home unit on my covered deck.Priced at $21 at the time of my review, I find this set up to be very well valued and functional.

we have this setup in the house for a while and it is pretty accurate.it shows both inside and outside weather. we placed some batteries in there - these are not included.there are other functionalities though, like for mold and dew but I still need to figure out how to use those effectively.great little device! easy to setup and easy to read!

This thermometer is exactly what I needed! I got it to monitor the temperature in our basement office, where we rely on space heaters due to our old, inefficient building. The display is crisp, clear, and super easy to read at a glance. Setup was a breeze—quick and hassle-free. It’s been great for keeping an eye on the temp and making sure our space stays comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable and user-friendly thermometer!

This indoor/outdoor is fun to have and was super simple to set up. The large back lit screen is easy to read from across the room. I installed the sensor on a covered front porch pillar and about 6 feet off the ground, and I have the indoor unit on the opposite side of the house, and it's working great! The outdoor sensor takes 2 AAA batteries and the indoor one takes 3. Or you can plug the indoor sensor in with the usb cord that comes with it. I enjoy seeing the temps for both outdoor and in, as well as the dew point, mold reading, and humidity.

This is a useful indoor/outdoor thermometer unit. It was very easy to set up and quickly found the connection to the sensor unit. You should know that the sensor requires two AAA batteries, which are not included - not great in my opinion. The base unit requires 3 AAA batteries (also not included) or a USB plug in connection so I did not deduct anything for that. But in my opinion at least the 2 sensor batteries should be included since the unit cannot be used properly without them.As I mentioned in the title, the display is bright and easy to read - the auto brightness feature which adjusts to ambient room light is also very good. The temperature indoors registered quickly and accurately. The outdoor temperature takes time - at least a couple hours or more - to finally get to the correct temperature and humidity outdoors - not sure why it takes so long to adjust but it does.It has three settings for the "index" display - mold, dew and heat. But despite reviewing the instructions carefully I still don't really understand what each one means or how it is determined. I could not find those descriptions anywhere. That said, I would not purchase this for those features anyway - I really just want the outside temp and humidity which are clearly visible. Overall a good unit for this purpose, at this price point.

This indoor / outdoor thermometer came complete with outdoor sensor, USB cable and indoor display. It was very easy to set up. You will need a usb power source such as a cell phone charger to plug the power cable into. The indoor unit takes 3 AAA batteries which aren’t needed if plugged in. The outdoor sensor takes 2AAA batteries. Once plugged in and the outdoor sensor has batteries the unit will take a few minutes to connect and display the temperature, humidity, mold, or dew point for outdoors. It displays temperature and humidity for indoors. The display is small with large easy to read numbers and looks fine on an end table. This unit does everything I wanted, was very easy to set up and appears very accurate.

This is a good Inside/outside weather station. The inside display is large and easy to read. It shows both indoor and outdoor temperature and relative humidity. It captures high and low temps for both locations, and includes the outdoor dewpoint, heat index, or "mold" index. There is a detailed table in the manual that explains the mold risk index-- it is basically a comparison of temperature and humidity together that predicts the likelihood of mold. The display also includes a graphic for the forecast for general weather. It includes sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, and or snowy. It uses the combination of temperature and humidity to make the guess. The manual states that the forecast may be only accurate 40-45% of the time, so don't depend on it.I have the sensor about 75 feet from the base station, inside a wooden building. The signal seems to be more than strong enough. The display can use up to three remote sensors, each on its own channel. The sensor changes with a push button on the main display. ( Additional sensors matching the base station can be purchased from GEEVON here on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Geevon-Wireless-Outdoor-Thermometer-Replacement/dp/B0BMLRJ61Q).Also, if you are in a very cold environment, you may want to use disposable lithium batteries in the sensor. They tolerate cold weather much better than alkaline batteries. The indoor unit uses 3 AAA batteries and/or a USB cable and power supply. The exterior sensor unit uses 2 AAA batteries.I think I will be very happy with this indoor/outdoor thermometer and weather station. Having both the dewpoint and heat index make it useful for planning daily activities.
