Purchased this for my Dad who built his own pool a few years ago and has since become a pool enthusiast! He LOVES this thermometer!!! When he first put it in the water, he used a meat thermometer to compare temps and said the accuracy is "dead on". He was able to put it together easily and says the app is straightforward and easy to use. One issue he did run into: he has multiple WiFi signals around his property, some that work better indoors and some that work better outdoors. He initially plugged the gateway inside but, due to wall thickness, decided to move the gateway outside. When relocating the gateway, it didn't work - he ended up having to do a factory reset and ensure his phone was connected to the outdoor WiFi before setting it back up. Outside of this hiccup, everything went smoothly! He absolutely loves the by-hour temp chart and the temp alerts (which helps him monitor the wood burning furnace which heats the pool). He said he would have purchased this himself and that it is well worth the money. He's only had it for a few days at this point, so hard to say what the battery life is - however, he said it is completely waterproof and is extremely happy! He was so excited about the info found in the app, he sent me the screenshot that I shared on this review :)

So far I am very happy with the performance of this temperature sensor. It has a decent range and is accurate when compared to my pool equipment readings. Only slight negative is the access to the batteries. Tiny screws and several of them need to be removed to access the batteries. The design is understandable since it has to be water tight, but still kind of a pain. If the batteries last a while it might not be so bad.

I found this pool thermometer product is quite useful. It is easy to use, just download the app and follow the guidelines. After set up, we use it to monitor the temperature of the water. In addition, it can also measure outdoor air temp, refrigerator temp, etc., the temp can be viewed via the phone app, quite useful.

Connected Thermometer with Smart NotificationI purchased this device from Amazon and received it a couple of days later. I inserted two AAA batteries, connected it to our home Wi-Fi network, and placed it in the hot tub.I appreciate how the app displays a temperature history graph. It also allows users to set upper and lower temperature limits, which trigger notifications when the temperature falls outside the designated range—exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend this product.

Instaview Sensor Pool Thermometer kit is very easy to install and setup. This pool thermometer is waterproof and measures the temperature of the water or any place you put it. The temperature reader is viewed via the smart phone you link to. The reading is accurate. I recommend families with a swimming pool or people who like to take baths to purchase this product.
