My GE Profile French Door always made ice slow and the ice maker was noisy. I had service on it about two months after my fridge was installed and was told there was nothing wrong with it. It only lasted 18 months. Bought this replacement and it was a breeze to install. It works as it should and now I realize my initial ice maker was defective. My replacement was here within two days and once I installed in which took 15 minutes I h waited for the temperature of the freezer to reach the required temp for ice. I discarded the first two batches and by the next evening I had a full bin of fresh ice. It is quiet and efficient. I am happy with my purchase. Thankyou

Trash GE Profile ice maker stop working after less than 3 years. Two screws and two clips it comes out. This fit perfectly and solved. Can’t say how long it will work for but made ice within hours.

Our original 3 year old GE refrigerator ice maker stopped working and the ice in the bin melted and ran out onto the floor. After doing an online search it appears this issue was very common with my refrigerator and GE even came out with an updated ice maker with the older model no longer available. Easy to remove and install and now it's working fine.
