Purchased this to spray inside the globe of my Litter Robot 4. Stops all the sticking. Smells terrible, but that dissipates quickly.

This is a great product that i use every time after grinding chicken for dog food. It has great pressure, spreads easily, evaporates quickly, and leaves a very thin protective film of silicone on the surface. While it might seem expensive, it is super easy to use to protect metal parts. When I couldn't get this spray I used food grade mineral oil for rust protection and what a mess! Took about 3 times as long to apply by hand and got all over stuff. So this spray is very time effective and easy to use with no mess.

The only thing I don't like is the price for a size can that will probably last me a lifetime. That may sound strange but I just don't need a 10 ounce can since I only currently have but one use for the silicone and that is the hose that connects to my backpack bladder. A 2 or 4 ounce can would be plenty for me but I didn't see that size being available. Granted I would have paid not that much less for only 2 or 4 ounces but at least I wouldn't feel I ordered too much.

I consider this lubricant as important around-the-house as WD-40, and I use it wherever I want a dry silicone film instead of a wet (and smelly) oil film. For example, this stuff is better for keyholes, or wherever plastic (or anything else) slides on plastic. This can's spray head is an upgrade over the conventional "spray paint" style head, into which you can poke a standard precision-spraying straw, because this head always retains its permanently-attached straw in a swiveling joint. When the straw is rotated into position, it does exactly what you'd expect. When the straw is rotated down, though, as if for storage, you can still spray the lube, because it has little holes in the joint which line up and let the spray pass through. It works well.(Warning: there's always a risk when spraying this stuff directly onto plastic that some of the other stuff in the can, which evaporate after spraying, might damage the plastic when sprayed directly on; so when in doubt, spray onto a paper towel, let evaporate a bit, and rub the paper towel on the plastic.)(Giving only 1 star for flavor. Do not eat this product!)

I moved to CRC food grade silicone a few years ago from many other brands I have used for at least the past 30 years. Being in the food service business there is always a need for some form of silicone in all walks of usage on restaurant equipment. But this product is NOT a thick, gooey, unruly smell that that leaves a noticeable residue, even if you complete an overall wipe what you sprayed. CRC Food grade silicone leaves a clean surface that holds all the characteristics without leaving a mess or smell. This is not only great for food service items but is great for ANY project or item where silicone is a necessity. Petroleum based silicone is really not a necessity any more. This beats the smell, the residue and plus their attached spray tube makes using effortless and yet able to target specific areas as opposed to having overspray landing on everything that does not need silicone
