I purchased this when I was having trouble installing new fuel injectors, I tried using oil, but it was still marring the O-rings. I bought this grease and it made installation. Super smooth, the injectors snapped right into place like they should without any O-ring damage. It was a great price for two tubes.

After much online research and speaking with our veterinarian I decided to purchase this food grade silicone lube product for the sole purpose of lubing the black rubber gasket that sits on the tip of the plunger inside Luer Slip and Luer Lock plastic disposable medical syringes (1mL thru 5mL in size). I use syringes daily, several times a day to give my 2 elderly fur babies (cats) oral/ compounded meds, as well as otc products (such as Miralax laxative & Famotidine antacid mixed with water or with wet cat food if the OTC or RX is bitter tasting to cats and then drawn up with a syringe), and liquid based supplements (such as CBD Oil, herbal supplements for preventing or treating Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD), probiotics, etc). I'll also use this lube on the plunger gaskets in the larger 10mL & 20mL plastic disposable syringes in the rare event I have to syringe feed 1 of my fur babies again. In all honesty, I rarely use the standard plastic disposable syringes with the black rubber gaskets anymore since finding the plastic syringes with the silicone O-ring plungers here on Amazon a few months ago, as they are a game changer! I've already used some of the silicone O-ring syringes for MONTHS with daily use & cleaning before they began to deteriorate. And now that I use this silicone food grade lube on the plunger silicone O-ring every few weeks they continue to glide smoothly like a new syringe fresh out the pack. I can't recommend this lube enough to any pet parent that is tasked with giving their beloved pet(s) oral medicine, supplements, or syringe feeding. It has made a world of difference for me in saving me time, stress, & money (less syringes to reorder, less medication wasted, etc), as well as making the experience for my feline babies more tolerable when receiving their meds & supplements, as cats simply don't care for having medicine forced upon them to begin with (whether pill form or liquid/ compounded). But even more so when their pet parent has to frequently stop while administering the meds, makes a mess on them, takes too long from start to finish, or gives them too much too quickly when pushing the syringe plunger due to the plunger jamming or skipping and requiring more force when pushing it. This can happen after just 1 or 2x of using the disposable plastic syringes, although they were cleaned immediately after use. The black rubber gasket that sits on the tip of the plunger gets jammed, or fails to glide smoothly inside the syringe barrel after just a few uses, due to poor quality or very little lube applied to that rubber gasket during manufacturing. I still have many unused/new disposable plastic syringes stored away in the event the silicone O-ring syringes are unavailable when I need more and it gives me peace of mind knowing that I have this product to make them work more effectively for a longer period if I am forced to use them again.

I have used it on outdoor locks, hinges, metal protection. My sliding door wheels... kept finding uses, so I like to keep it around. I specifically get food grade incase I do more plumbing. I very little bit goes a long way. Quality product. Tool box essential.
