With a dimension of 2.75" this transition strip provides the width needed to make the nearly 3/4" rise navigable for wheelchair or any other wheeled objects. The grey color is a nice contrast to the transition between a hickory bedroom floor and a 12" x 12" tile bathroom floor and that width mentioned above easily bridged the 3/4" gap between the two floors. The vinyl construction was easy to cut to fit into the doorway. The vinyl has a slight flexibility post-installation which helps make it resilient to traffic. The rise of the ramp makes it much easier to wheel things over the threshold, especially items with smaller wheels that used to get stuck at the gap and change in elevation of the floorsThe adhesive is plenty strong, and we left it in place with heavy stuff on top for several hours to insure adhesion. You need to be sure there is no dust or debris on the floor that will compromise the adhesion. After careful cleaning I used some isopropyl alcohol as the last cleaning step before installation. The most difficult part was getting the curled threshold straightened out. We put in on a table with heavy items on top, but it kept curling back towards the shipped curvature until we followed the advice to curl it in the opposite direction. We lived with a gap and rise between these two floors for a long while and it now looks and works much better after installing this transition strip.

Sticky tape on asphalt and concrete is weak at best. Wood and hard smooth surfaces work best.

The height of rise was just as promised and worked great for our project. The strips have a quality feel and the adhesive backing was strong enough to stick. We enjoyed it!
