Fit perfectly and very easy to install. It works so well, I ordered a second strip for a different door. Make sure to measure before ordering to guarantee correct sizing. Definitely recommend.

Older home, front door threshold seal was gone. After some quick education, I figured out what seal I needed. I got the 1 3/8” x 1/2” x 36” seal and it wasn’t wide enough but just about wide enough. The height and length are spot on, I think whoever installed the threshold didn’t do it right. A few dabs of construction adhesive holds it down well and should be easily removed in the future if needed. I didn't take away any stars because the part itself is 10/10 and doesn’t feel cheap.

I searched for years for a replacement threshold insert and finally found this one. It fits perfectly, although it looks totally different from the original insert. It’s actually a much better product than the original. I would highly recommend this item.

I used this product to replace an old rubber weather strip that had split in multiple places. This one is the correct width and I had to cut it down to the correct length. Unfortunately, it is not the correct style. My old one wrapped around a metal strip that snapped into the door transition. This one looks like it was designed to slide into a transition. I had to glue this weather strip to the old metal strip that snaps into the transition. It works but it took some breaking in because the vinyl is stiffer than rubber. The first week it was really tight. Now it is still a little tight but usable. I am wondering how it will work when the weather turns cold in Winter.

Sooo, I went down to the local big box store to get a replacement threshold insert. They had one size, so I thought one size fits all. Nope, they do not.A picture of my old one compared to this on helped me know this was it. It took five minutes to install after prep. It appears to be a great product and fits perfectly.A few thoughts ...Preparation is everything. Clean the metal plate completely. I used a very slim screwdriver to get any gunk out of the tracks this product fits in. They need to be cleaned out. (I followed up with a box cutter.) Then the new strip will fit in as it should.Measure the width you need before you buy. They offer several widths.Write the product company name and item number on the bottom of the rubber strip with a permanent marker. It will help next time.

I couldn’t find a replacement seal for my threshold and any of the big box stores or the local Ace. The guy at HD told me to just buy a whole new threshold for 3x the price. Just No. I found them here on Amazon and the price was right and the fit was perfect.

Works as described. Installing is a lot easier if you have a heat gun (a hair dryer would also work) to soften the material as you install it. Also need a small flat head screwdriver to work the edge of the material down into the groove of the door sill.

Our home is 35 years old and the rubber sealing strip in the threshold of the door into our garage had disintegrated a few years ago.I couldn’t find a replacement seal at the usual places like Lowe’s and Home Depot so I added a sweep to the bottom of the door to save having to do the much bigger job of replacing the whole aluminum threshold. The sweep solution wasn’t really a great fit... didn’t look great and wasn’t a great draft free fit.I found this replacement threshold seal on Amazon, it arrived quickly and installed literally in 2 minutes. It fits perfectly and the door is now draft free. I had to remove the sweep I added onto the bottom of the door so that the door would close properly, but thats a bonus as aesthetically it looks much nicer. So far I’m very pleased and would highly recommend.

Used this product to replace a damaged threshold for my customerAnother contractor replaced the original Threshold with 2 36 inch thresholds, they were of different height and the left door did not seal properly. I ordered this thresholds vinyl replacement to replace the old vinyl in the old frameVinyl was very tight to pull through, sprayed soap in the tracks while pulling. Overall perfect replacement for the old threshold. I would recommend this product.

Just great - just moved in to our new house and learned the front door sweep would get swept by the door. It was a very confused door sweep. Trying to reinsert that one, it was obvious it had ripped along the side and nothing short of super glue and frustration would have kinda sorta fixed it. It was a little short on each side anyways so I put it on the list of house projects, but didn't like what I saw at Home Depot.I bought some weather stripping that is MD Building brand and then the insert appeared as a related item. Really it was a small purchase that made a Huge! difference. It arrived early, day after I ordered. I was all ready to take out the whole sweep, screw driver ready, after seeing how hard it would be to stuff the old one into place, but nope! Installation is as easy as pinching the the insert semi firmly along the door sweep, and then it just expands into place. I cut maybe a half inch off the length just before reaching the end, and pushed down along the length until it was all sitting flush.I don't have to keep kicking an insert back and forth out of the way anymore, and I didn't even realize until now how much extra space there was with the old one. My door feels better and more snug, it doesn't slam with the smallest of pushes anymore either. So weird to be so happy about a door insert, but what can I say? It's the small things in life. The before picture is the old black insert when it was kind of kicked into place, but most of the time half of it was hanging out on the porch, and never stayed in place.
