I was expecting a rotary trimmer, but this is a tiny little guillotine trimmer. There's a guard on it that restricts me to a very small number of sheets. And it's so flimsy that it's difficult to actually get a good cut, especially if you're only trimming one piece of paper at a time.I'm shocked that Fiskars actually put their name on this. Unfortunately, I threw away the packaging without thinking about it and before trying it, so I can't return this overpriced piece of junk.

I have always used Fiskars paper trimmers with great success. But this one is the pits! The blade does not cut completely or sometimes at all in places through the paper. I read that in the reviews before I purchased, my bad, Buyer Beware! You have to run the blade back and forth many times and with a LOT of pressure to get the paper cut. This is not a pleasant experience, and just when you think the paper is cut, and lift the pressure plate only to discover only a portion of the paper is cut. At first I thought it was the blade, but now am wondering if the cutting base plate is too soft and the blade does not have enough hard surface to run over to make a thorough cut. I'm going to try a new base plate in hopes that it will be successful. But I feel like I wasted my money on this product.

I have used Fiskar paper trimmers for years….my old one finally died on me after many years of use. I replaced it with this one (I prefer rotary cutters to the angled edge razor type blades) and find it every bit as easy to use and accurate as the old one. Blades are easy to change and it’s lightweight and very portable. What’s not to like??

Love it! Love it! Does what it needs to do.Only ‘bad’ is hard to tell where the 51/4 mark is because that is where the arm extends out. Easily fixed by taking ruler and marking a line with a permanent marker.I can cut multi sheets of copy paper and so far have cut through 4 pieces of 65lb cardstock no problem just needs a couple of swipes. Remember this cutter needs you to press the rotary blade down while cutting. It how it is designed and its not a problem for me.Love that I can change out blade to clean or replace. I cannot do that with my heavy duty Fiskars rotary cutter. Which what this one has basically replaced now. Overall great purchase.

Fiskars is a brand I liked from their outdoor tools, and this cutter is no exception. I wanted something more heavy duty than their single blade style, and this seemed to fit the bill. The rotary style is also more smooth than those styles, and will likely keep sharper longer. I am able to cut about 10 sheets of paper at once, but the thicker you go, you will need to apply more pressure and takes usually 2 passes.

The trimmer is okay I have always liked these however after sale is lowsey. I happen this time to have brought one that ended up with a fault. The housing unit of the blade sprung up and would not lock down I did try to carry on using it until I happen to catch my finger. I still have it here and for the last couple of week trying to get it changed I did not want a refund I just wanted another trimmer. PIC were no help what so ever. They and Amozon both contacted me and said they only cover the items for 30 days after that you have to go back to the Manufactor so I have since been in touch with and all I am getting it emails with a further question in and it has been like this nearly every day forthe last few weeks. So I say yes buy this trimmer buy all means but not from here. .

When we received this trimmer it wouldn't cut anything..A quick phone call to Fiskars for some troubleshooting revealed that we were missing the panel that fits under the cutting blade.In a display of exceptional customer service, Fiskars put a replacement part in the mail to us that day at no charge. The part arrived in just a couple of days and once installed the trimmer works as designed.... perfectly!If you have a need for a tool of this type you should absolutely consider this one. It's reasonably priced, works perfectly and the manufacturer's customer service is top-notch!

I have had several of these in the past by various companies. I must say this is the lightest weight and the best I have ever had. I have used to cut paper down to fit DVD storage cases. In the last few days I have made over 1200 cuts, blade hasn't dulled and then to cut heavy photo paper that had a laminated side with a hollow graphic image on it to fit a a wooden frame. It cut right through it. I was happy to see it work as easily as it did and with no issues. Even though I have only had it for 3 days it is worth its' weight it gold. It is completely plastic frame but it is solidly built. The ball feet help keep it in place while cutting and you do not have to apply a lot of pressure when cutting. So it does stay in place with out a lot of pressure to hold it down and steady and minimal pressure on the cutting wheel. If your looking for a good quality cutter at a reasonable price this is an awesome deal.
