I wanted a much better paper cutter than I had and searched everywhere. I finally decided to buy this one due to its price and size. It was very easy to set up. However the markings on the table and the back edge are not indicators of the distance from the blade to points along the back or the table top. I will be marking mine myself for more accurate paper cutting.

Kind of a pain to cut paper if you put the paper against the back where the pivot point of the cutter arm is. The arm is slightly flimsy so if you do not hold pressure toward the main surface it will not cut smoothly.

I went through three other brands of paper trimmers before I found this one. The others were not sturdy, the accuracy was off, and the cuts were not clean. I love my X-Acto Trimmer. It was more than I wanted to spend for home use, but it's worth the money for the job it does.

I bought the paper cutter to replace a 10 year old one of the same brand and style, so I know I bought quality. I bought this certain one, because I know what I am buying. His brand and style is easy to use, safe, and does the best in paper crafting. I love how it is marked in measurements, and has a safety feature for me and my grandchildren. I wouldn't own anything else.

For the money this is a great trimmer. Second one we have had, dropped the old one and broke the handle, did not even think about another trimmer as the old one was a good 10 years old and was fantastic in every respect.

I really like my guillotine cutter but the plastic piece to put in the grooveis flimsy and sticks so is ineffective as a paper guide. You don't really needit. I have an older one at our summer residence which doesn't have that groove.I like it much better. I am a card maker/scrapbooker and love the grid lines on thebase of the cutter. The blade is nice and sharp, and I like the metal clip thatholds the handle down when I am not cutting. Except for the groove and plastic piece,I find this product meets my expectations. I also liked that it was delivered quicklyafter I placed my order.
