I use this to test our drinking water at the faucet every few day. Our neighborhood water system occasionally doesn't show it has chlorine, so I use this cheap tester to verify we are good to go.

I am currently in the process of testing out my East Bay 2-in-1 Water Test Kit – for my swimming pool.I purchased it because my old test kit seemed to be giving rather spurious readings, specifically abnormally high Cl levels. pH levels were OK. My older kit was at least 5 years old and I was not sure whether the test solutions were OK as directions caution one to replace the testing solutions frequently (within a year or so). So I went ahead and bought this new kit – which was the cheapest Amazon offered. I’ve now made three comparisons, over almost a week, and both register about to the same. I’m presuming the test chemicals are the same so my purpose was really to compare fresh with ‘out of date’.There are big price differences in these kits and I’m satisfied I went with the cheapest.

This little kid is well priced and is all you need to take care of your Pool chemistry. I’ve had Both an above ground and now inground pool and had no problems with just a simple kit for measuring both chlorine and pH.

I'm fin6ally at my breeding point trying to decipher the shades of red to determine my ph using the Taylor kit. Literally, I'm just guessing. This kit for the win. When the results show red my ph is high. THIS is what I need to know. Yellow means it's good. No guessing no holding it up against a white background. Just glance and you know.Forget Taylor. This kit will save you so much time. Note: this one use 4 drops of the reagent, not 5 like Taylor.

I had no idea how to test pool water with our first pool. I had tried sticks and those seemed to make things so confusing. I bought a few of these kits for the summer and never once had green pool water. I highly recommend this simple water tester!

Absolutely everything about this product made me nuts. First off about the box that holds everything. things didn’t sit very neatly in it. Second the way you have to pull the caps off and on for testing solution is very clumsy and even when I put them on correctly if the kit got turned on its side, the Testing fluid would leak out of the little bottles and all over the inside of the kit. Mostly due to that reason I’ve gone through the testing fluid faster than any kit or any fluid bottles I’ve ever purchased. Also, the lids on the testing tubes are really difficult to get back off to dump the fluids out when you’re done. I pretty much hated absolutely everything on this kit other than the price but I guess you get what you pay for it.
