Good tone and output. Ive used this on three guitars and am completely satisfied. If you don't want the cable hanging out of the sound hole, and getting in the way, be prepared to use some tools to install the jack in a drilled hole.

Sounds Awesome! My son really wanted a certain acoustic guitar but It did not have a pick up. You cannot really even tell this is in the guitar and the sound is perfect. Really nice wood design

I had received this Pickup about a month ago and had been so busy I did not have the time to install it in my nylon string guitar. The box comes without any installation instructions, so I had to do some guess work. Initially I wanted to do and internal installation, but later decided to just leave it outside and apply the included items for outside installation. It was quite easy and straightforward and just took me about 10 - 15 minutes to figure out where to put the pick ups and cables in a neat and slight decent way. One of the things that I did not like were the plastic anchors. They were easily unhooked from placement once installed. I had to hook them up over and over again until I decided to leave them unhook (they would not clip on).I hooked it up to my sound console and the sound is very good. I had previously had other pick ups in this guitar but I MUST ADMIT THIS IS THE BEST I have had to date. Highs and lows are clear, although in my case there were more highs than lows. With some tweaking in my sound console the sound was what I was looking for.So in my opinion this is a very good pickup and for the price I cannot expect more, hence I am satisfied with the purchase.

Easy to install. Acoustic quality sound is reasonable. No response from tone control. Volume is low but useable.

At this price, I was expecting a horrible, barely functional pickup for me to use on my beater guitar.I was pleasantly proven wrong! The pickup is incredibly easy to install and even provides a nondestructive way to mount the wires and output jack. The sound quality is "not bad." Tonally, it is a bit weak on the low frequencies, and very neutral on the mids and treble. You wont be able to show off too much nuanced guitar playing as it may not translate 100% through the pickup, nor will it enhance the guitar tone in any way. However, because of how neutral it sounds and uncolored it is, it does allow the natural sound of the guitar to come through, which most acoustic guitar players prefer. The pickup is also not very sensitive. I have to bump the gain up quite a bit in order to get it at a decent volume. It is very clean, as opposed to hotter pickups that have some saturation and crunch to them. However this is expected out of a passive pickup that sits a bit farther from the strings, as opposed to an electric guitar where the pickups are typically adjusted to be much closer to the strings.I do appreciate the volume and tone wheels, although I found that I will probably never touch them again after setting them once. It's clear that the engineer that designed this paid attention to making this pickup in a way that leaves no marks, scratches, blemishes, or residue. I was very impressed. In conclusion, this pickup is amazing for its price. Definitely not studio recording quality but definitely good enough for live performances and gigs!I will update this review with a picture soon!

I was skeptical on this one. Some reviews not happy with the product, and Amazon even flagged it as "frequent return" so I got a "renewed" one for cheaper and took a chance.I did some testing before mounting it in the guitar to make sure it worked, holding it next to vibrating strings before install. Seemed to pick up and make a signal, so I went to installing it. It had very poorly worded "chinglish" instructions in the package, so basically those went in the bonfire. It did require drilling a hole where the strap button lives, and the jack retainer nut on the pickup jack becomes the new strap button. I put this on my beater acoustic guitar at the cabin, so I didn't mind some hole drilling. I used a 1/2" wood/metal bit and the jack fit well in that size hole. I think the instructions said 12mm hole. No one has a 12mm bit at their cabin by the way.... 1/2"= 13mm = close enough. It is NOT a powered pickup, so it's signal is "lower" but I just turned up the gain on the amp a little and it works fine. I had to install it twice actually. The first time, I didn't adjust the inner nut enough to allow the jack to stick out of the guitar enough, so it was not making electrical contact initially when plugged in. Disassemble and re-adjust and try again and it worked fine. Make sure the pickup jack sticks out far enough on install, at least as far out from the guitar as the strap button retainer is thick, maybe a touch more and you won't have this problem. After drilling the hole, I found it easiest to run the patch cord from the amp into the freshly drilled hole and out the sound hole of the guitar, then plug the cord into the jack on the new pickup, then pull the whole package into the guitar and the cord out the drilled hole while all plugged together. Then, disconnect the cord to the amp, and then carefully attach the strap button/jack retainer and tighten to secure. Installing the pickup itself in the sound hole after that is self explanatory and only needs a Phillips screwdriver. It did come with some sticky cable retainers which I stuck to the inside of the guitar to hold the cabling inside and prevent rattles. I did all this WITHOUT removing the strings by the way, as I did not have an extra set to put back on at the cabin. This would all be infinitely easier with the strings removed but is possible without removing the strings.Using it plugged in I was impressed. It's not as "good" as some easier to install soundhole pickups I have, but overall it does what it's designed to do and is reasonably well designed and priced. Volume and tone knobs work, and can be accessed between songs if needed, but are not easy to adjust in the midst of a song. Overall, I'd probably consider buying it again for a similar guitar need, especially now that I figured out how to get it in there properly. Hope this helps someone.

This kind of defeats the whole purpose of a acoustic electric. I can barely hear it through a amp. I thought it was broken at first. Nope the pickup was so weak the acoustics of the guitar drowned out what was coming through the amp. I know people are saying you need a preamp but I like a electric acoustic because I can play with my guitar and if I need to go louder with a amp I can. I don’t want to drag around a guitar and a preamp and a regular amp.

Di buona fattura, facile da montare, bello da vedere, suono caldo e ricco soprattutto nelle basse frequenze. Usato live accoppiato al piezo montato sotto il ponte. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
