I’ve used this product for sometime and have found that clipping it onto the bracing provides the best tone. I hold the amp wire in place with a nice paper clip and then plug directly into my Fender amp. I use for practicing at home and have no complaints.

I like that the clip is soft and won't damage your instrument. It works great. My only negative comment is that the cord is very thin wire and looks like it could be easily damaged.

I bought this to play with, and as an experiment. Comments do not reflect using it as a performing musician.I've been dabbling with ukulele for a few months and have built a hard body, flat uke that I can pack along one side of a suitcase for practice while traveling. You can hear it enough to play it, but it is very quiet. I thought, "wouldn't it be wild to electrify it."Amazing, this pickup works. Clip it on anywhere (on the head near the tuners is most convenient) and my practice ukulele actually sounds like an instrument when it is plugged into an amp.NOTE: I play with this in a room with computers, monitors, wifi hot spots, lot's of potential RF interference. I have a cheap battery powered Mini Twin Fender amp.It has a long, thin, (unshielded?) cord. Sometimes I get a 60 cycle hum from my amp when I'm using it.

The sound quality is very bad. I didn't expect the sound to be of high quality since it's inexpensive. But I also did not expect to hear a lot of static when I strummed or picked my ukulele. Even after adjusting the gain on my amp to lower settings, the static would not go away. And the wiring is very loose at the clip and causes more static. Don't buy this cheap product. It shouldn't even be on the market.

I wanted a way to easily connect my ukulele to my iPad. This microphone clips on and picks up the sound great. I'm not trying to record with it, but it works great with apps.
