The saw and trimmer worked very well. It helped me a lot with tasks I hade to use unstable ladders for.

Great Saw Cuts Really Well But It’s A Bit Wobbly At Full Mass . And I Do Not Like The Safety Gadget On The Trigger. It’s Annoying.

I thought the chainsaw would eat through the battery but it doesn’t. It actually lasted WAY longer than I thought cutting pretty thick tree limbs. As for the razor sharp hedge attachment ,I was able to trim my tall hedges without a ladder for the first time! Requires some upper body strength to use at full length but does a great job. I love this tool!

Bought the combo pole (chain) saw and hedge trimmer…. First use w/trimmer and I’m impressed. I maintain an acre of property with plenty of hedges & small bushes, this DeWalt breezed through the job in no time (or gas…lol). “Small jobs” like this, battery powered is the way to go (still love my Stihl real-man gas powered chainsaw though!). Well done DeWalt !

I am 73 years of age and am afflicted with a long 10 foot hedge along our yard-probably 100 feet long. I just received the hedge trimmer and have been using it with the extension pole that ships with the pole trimmer. The combination is a bit heavy for me, but manageable. The trimmer zips through ligustrum and Anise bushes easily. I can work from the ground. Cannot speak to the durability after only a short time, but the performance and usability are very good. The hedge from hades has met it's match.

I like the product a lot... but after doing a row of hedges, I realized I was throwing a lot of chain oil onto a concrete sidewalk. For an old codger like me the trimmer using the extension is very heavy/hard to control. Regardless, battery life very good, performance very good on branches (saw) and hedging (trimmer)

I recommend these tools. The hedge trimmer and pole saw shipped separately although the product description led me to believe they were a package deal. Regardless, they are great. The reach on the trimmer means I don't have to lug a 10' ladder around our tall bushes. The multi-directional head worked well, and the teeth went through nearly half-inch branches easily. It gets a bit unweildy if you hold it at full extension, but that's a physics lesson. The pole saw does not come with bar oil, you need to add that like any chainsaw. I cut through a number of 5 inch buckthorn trees and a 6 inch black cherry branch. No binding, smooth cutting. The 12 foot reach is a big help.I used one fully charged 5 amp 20 volt battery for about an hour and a half between both tools. Still had 2 out of 3 bars, no loss of power.

So the kit comes with three poles. One holds the battery and handle and one holds the tool while the third one is a middle extension. So you can use two poles or three poles for distance. The poles do Flex a lot with the weight of either the trimmer or the pole saw attached with all three segments being used. All in all I think it's a pretty good set of tools and they are my go-to tools versus my corded tools. If DeWalt would just sell the middle section separately you certainly could add more length to your pole saw or trimmer but remember it does flex and the weight may be too much for the tool pole or the battery pole.
