Mixed feelings on this mini chainsaw pruner. The battery is hard to push into position. As well the extension part of the pole is spring loaded. It took two of us to lock it into its full length. The whole unit is heavy and tiring to use.On the plus side you get two batteries to be able to work longer. The mini chainsaw works well and cuts branches up to four inches in diameter. For the price tag of $149 CDN I would look at other options.

I have several battery-powered chainsaws of varying sizes from different manufacturers. At first glance, this one feels underbuilt and cheap. For some reason, significant fiddling is required to mount the saw onto the extension. The sliding switch, which is supposed to lock the saw on the pole, doesn't fully engage and fails to stop the saw from coming off unless you push it forward really hard while pressing the slider. One bothersome aspect is the finger guard, which is made of hard plastic with fairly sharp edges. The chain tensioner is a weak mechanism. There are numerous fit and finish issues where the plastics don't align nicely, leaving raised sharp edges. The battery is 10% lighter than a comparable small battery-operated saw with a two-amp-hour rated battery. Additionally, the chain guard only extends three-quarters up the length of the blade, and the motor is quite anemic. The extension pole is of good quality, but the handle has poor fit and finish issues, featuring raised sharp edges in several areas. The adjustable head works well, with nine positions that lock in place securely. However, the fit and finish issues still affect the overall quality. The extension toggles operate reasonably well, but they are pretty loose. Right from the start, one toggle needed adjustment to grip the shaft properly and being plastic, won't last a very long time. There is some play in the head when fully extended and jiggled. The good news is that it accepts Makita-style batteries, which are widely available in the aftermarket and commonly used in many offshore tools. This allows you to easily switch them out for higher-capacity options, giving you more cutting time. While this chainsaw is well-suited for light pruning, better values are available. What I like about it is that you can adjust the length of the extension, and it is very lightweight. It's also easy to find replacement chains, and it works well with many of my other tools that use the same type of battery, which is not proprietary—something that is very important to me.Ultimately, it's not the best value.

This was a good thing to buy. Not only is it super easy to use, but it also lasted a long time. It can become really long so that I can cut off branches. It is not the heavy and it is such a good deal for this price. It does not take up much space and is really handy for both little and big work.

Check out this MAXLANDER 2-in-1 Cordless Pole Saw & Mini Chainsaw! It’s a powerful 6’’ electric pole saw that’s perfect for trimming trees. It has a 20V battery that gives you reliable performance, and it comes with two included chains so you can use it for a long time. Plus, it has a 14ft reach, so you can cut high branches without having to climb a ladder. And the best part? You can easily switch between the pole saw and mini chainsaw for all sorts of yard work. It also comes with two rechargeable batteries and a fast charger, so you can keep working without worrying about running out of juice. This is a great tool for gardening, pruning, and landscaping.

Un puissant ressort à l'intérieur du manche rend l'extention difficile. Il faut vraiment insister pour obtenir la longueur totale. Va bien dans l'ensemble..

I used to trim trees for our family landscaping company while putting myself through university so I have lots of experience with pole pruners and pruning. I was excited to get the MAXLANDER 2-in-1 Cordless Pole Saw & Mini Chainsaw as I was looking forward to having a mini chainsaw and pole saw to use on my tall 25 foot columnar aspens at home. I put the saw through its paces this afternoon and I was disappointed. To begin with, the instruction manual was lacking. It was poorly translated, and there is never any mention of the oil (where to put it or what type to use, how often to change it, etc) to lubricate the chain. I did find a small bottle of oil and a sharpening stone in the box but I believe the oil is for the sharpening stone, but again no information in the manual. I found the batteries extremely challenging to slide into place and I was afraid I was forcing it and was going to break it. They just didn’t fit well, although I did appreciate that there was 2 of them for backup. I eventually got them in place but they are such a poor fit that at one point while I was using the saw far overhead the saw quit and it was because the act of pruning had jarred the mini chainsaw off the battery mount at the top of the pole. I put the saw through various diameter cuts and at a variety of angles and heights. The saw can cut through branches and I cut through some up to 4 inches in diameter but I wouldn’t cut anything larger than that. The pole is quite heavy and not well balanced in comparison to other pole pruners I have used. It would be okay for around the house for several cuts but it is not something you would want to hold up longer than that. When I went to lengthen the pole it was SPRING LOADED and kept automatically trying to retract. This was VERY frustrating as I needed 4 hands to be able to lengthen the pole to its full length while it pulled against lengthening and then to close the clip that keeps it lengthened. I eventually got my husband to pull and I pulled and snapped the clips in place. I was afraid that when I closed the clips that they would snap as they didn’t seem very robust, and I fear they may not last long term. The angle adjustment for the saw works well. The specs claim to be able to make cuts at 14 feet when at shoulder height. I was able to cut a branch at 14 feet ( I measured) but this required me to hold the saw over my head and then I lost the stability and control that exists when you have your arms lower. 14 feet is a stretch and 10 to 12 feet is a more realistic maximum cutting height. Overall, this machine is not made very rugged or exacting and many pieces I do not expect to last for the long term. If you accept the limitations of this saw and baby it, it could be useful for pruning branches but for the almost $150 price I’m not sure this is the saw I would invest in.

Its easy to install and carry. I used it to cut branches of trees and it worked so well. The battery lasts about 20 mins and easy to charge it.

Amazed at the lack of quality of this product. It snapped off at the handle and the saw would not snap on the extension pole. Poorly made. This is something you would expect on Temu, not Amazon.

The saw cut good but the pole is very flimsy!!! It's lock downs won't hold the extended or collapsed position very well.

So I bought a different brand mini chainsaw that kicked ass. Then I thought I’d buy this one, for the pole extension and just to have another mini chainsaw.. wrong. This one is so poorly made.. the chain is constantly off track, getting stuck. We’ve tried using it on 2 separate occasions each time we regretted that decision. The last time the chain came off and the saw got stuck it was on the extension pole. We tried to wriggle it loose as we couldn’t reach the saw and it snapped at the handle. Now it’s even more useless than it already was. Don’t buy this one.

This is a great little multifunctional saw it works great as a handsaw to be able to trim branches by hand and then it also has a telescoping pole saw that the small sock next to which makes it easy to get branches that are high in the air, it cuts fast It’s built very heavy and the batteries last very long time when cutting it also comes with an extra chain and two batteries.
