I will say that I have a Ryobi 18V pruning saw that is clunky but cuts really well. I wanted another one I could leave at camp for pruning around the hunting cabin and treestands.Pros:Complete kit with 2 batteries and chargerSaw has removable handle for mini wood cutting jobsExtension handle is telescoping, so no bulky sections to carryComes with a spare chainWorks good for pruning live limbsCons:Not so good as a mini chainsawManual is not informative enough or completeMotor has very low torqueBlades don't seem to have much of a quality cutting edgeBattery loses connection intermittently during use (have to re-seat it)Durability seems low compared to name brand sawsTiny oil bottle is uselessIncluded gloves and safety glasses are practically throw awayI did some cutting around the yard. As a mini chainsaw itt will cut through a 6" downed tree, but it will take time and it will bind up and stall easily. So you will get frustrated. For pruning it works much better and I think that is the only real use for this saw. It goes through 0.5 - 2" limbs just fine. Live wood better than dead like any saw.Even though this is a complete kit, I would not recommend it. If you already have a wireless ecosystem like Ryobi, Dewalt, Kobalt, etc., just stick with that brand and get their pruning saw. You will be less disappointed, and you won't have to worry about unique batteries and chargers. All of the brand name ones I looked at were better quality than this one. This was an affordable price but about the same as the box store brands.

Really nice to be able to do some trimming without getting out the ladder, and additionally once the ladder is out you can cut decently high up. The pole extends out to about ten feet, so that plus saw length, plus you holding it up a bit and you're cutting fifteen feet up (even before the ladder). You can also just use the saw without the pole if you have work to do closer to the ground, and its a powerful little thing. I've used the same style saw to cut through logs bigger than the blade, so if you haven't used one of these don't let the size fool you. This one comes with a pole and two batteries, so its very likely that this is all you will ever need for yard tree maintenance. Its lightweight, stable and easy to cut with, not awkward, and it comes with accessories to help out. The head on the pole pivots, so you can cut at any angle (more important for cutting straight on against smaller branches, large branches are actually easier to cut with more surface area). All in all this is a great little chainsaw with everything you need.

Very impressed with this little tree trimmer. The pole removes so you can use it at a mini chainsaw as well. The chains spin very fast and when tested on our tree, it cut through the branches like butter.Very comparable to by ego trimmer in terms of power but much lighter!recommended if you have a lot of trees on your property.
