I am using this to test 12v motors for use on model railroads. I was not looking for something to do this job, but I came across this device whilst browsing for other needs, and at this price it would be nuts not to have one. It is working well for me and I am glad I bought it.

This item is a nice speed controller, and works as it should. My son uses it for his projects (wood-working, leather-making, remote control cars?) I don't know for sure, but he says it works fine and he has no problems with it.

Well this is a complete PWM DC motor speed controller unit that works as expected. The fact that it includes the switch, knob, and display case is awesome! Super easy to add into your motorized circuits and have near ready-made control panel already in place! Very nice value when you consider those finishing touches.

I'm a retired electronics technician. I've built an electronics bench here at home to design, build and test all things electronic. I put this little jewel on the bench here and powered a 12V DC motor using about one amp. I was easily able to control the speed. For only $15, this is a great price. Any good electronics oriented person can build a speed controller, as they are not all that complicated. However, I couldn't built it for this price. Great addition to my electronics bench. Five stars.

I’m using this PWM controller to run a 75W DC motor. The motor runs a flex drive that runs a sanding disk for wood turning. I like to run it with variable speed to suit the nature of the work. It would be easy to add a forward and reverse switch as well. The controller has a start/stop switch that I find useful.I provide 24VDC to it using an LED power supply. The motor has plenty of torque even at low speeds. Speed control is very smooth from 0 to 100%. This would also work very well as a high-powered dimmer for LED strip lights.Excellent PWM controller at a very low price, recommended.

Upgrading motors on my kid's power wheels car. Motors ended up being too powerful and wanted a way to regulate. This worked perfect. Able to regulate between 0-100%. Running Ryobi 18V batteries to an original 12V car.

I ordered this speed control to manage a small DC motor on which I wanted varispeed. This motor is about the size of a motor in a typical cordless battery powered drill. This is NOT A STEPPER MOTOR CONTROLLER - o.k? It is a PWM strategy for varispeed on a DC motor. It works.I ordered the 12V model, which suited my build, but kudos to the manufacturer for offering a range of DC input voltages. The speed control arrived - but unfortunately with very little documentation and with a broken button. Being electronically minded, this was no big problem, but I do wish the manufacturers would supply at least the basics. Max current output, that kind of thing. The "emergency stop" button on mine arrived broken - mostly because it was a very cheap button...but again no big deal, I replaced it with a much nicer button. The speed potentiometer is 10K ohm, and the one they include is functional but of course very low end.On the plus side, the display is nice and bright and the motor control does a very credible job of running a DC motor from zero to max RPM with no issues. Start torque is respectable, and so far I see no big problem with this controller doing what one expects - though I have NO IDEA how much current it can handle on output. Therefore, one is living somewhat dangerously.CONCLUSION: This part is really for integrating into a larger device, so expect to do some routine fine tuning/improvement. I added a foot pedal with a min/trim adjustment so that the pedal could control the motor speed (works for my application)Really a five star product except limited by lack of documentation and a very cheap (and arrived broken) emergency stop button.Four stars. Works o.k.Cons: needs documentation and better buttons. potentiometer is kind of cheap lookingPros: nice big bright display - good motor speed - control is not overly sensitve. Can drive at least a cordless drill sized DC motor.

It works as expected. It's a good controller, and it's a great price, considering what it can do. Nice.
