Smallest controller I was able to find. Seems to do the job great.

This item will not operate at the voltages stated in description.I purchased this for a time sensitive job as a quick solution that required ~3v.I could only get it to work around 5v which is way to high for my requirement.I now see other customers have had the same issue, PLEASE CORRECT LISTING!

My wife's spider light broke and she asked me to fix it. Came to found out the dimmer was broken so I tried to contact the company for a replacement part. Of course it wasn't available so I started looking elsewhere and stumbled on this product. Was hard to find something that went up to 24v and this worked perfect!! It was an easy swap after re working the wire set up. Was even able to use the existing knob! And now I look like Mr fix it 😎 not a bad price either. Very satisfied with the product and result. Thank you.

This small speed driver works very well. It has an off position, then it increases speed linearly and with good control. There are two capacitors that could be located in a better position to facilitate installation, but it is nothing significant.

One was dead and the other had unsildered connections. Not the best quality.Looking at the PWM waveform, it is clearly extremely noisy and malformed.Does work for my application which is for a dew heater.

I used it for a Harbor Frieght 90amp mig welder, for the wire feed control. Works ok, at it's limit on this application, but works ok. Had to use a rectifier to change from AC to DC. The higher voltage running through this makes it work alittle funny. I bought 2, one pulsates at the higher voltage, the other won't turn off at higher voltage the nob has an off position.

I was rebuilding a non-functional, high-$ back-pack lawn sprayer pump. I troubleshot the failure down to a potted PWM circuit board. So, I paid $70 to buy an OEM replacement. After an hour, that circuit board failed.I recognized that the sprayer's electrical design was overly complex. It looked like the design of a fresh-out electrical engineering grad or mechanical engineer's speculation. The engineer's speed control choice is either underrated on A's or V's ... it's an 18V battery directly driving a 12V, 3A control circuit. This particular PWM is '5A' rated here, but '3A' is rated elsewhere in the market. Maybe it'll last, maybe not, BUT it proved that a $70 OEM replacement could be accomplished with a far simpler, variable speed $4 solution. So far so good.

This PWM controller seems to work fine, but there is a significant issue when using input voltages below 4V which I will explain below.I wanted to use this controller to adjust the power output to some resistive heaters with a single Li ion cell as the input. It just did not work; the output current was very small and the FET got very hot quickly. I did bridge the solder points on the circuit board to work with the lower voltage range. The issue is that for these low voltages, the gate voltage supplied to the FET is too low. I measured the gate voltage to be about 1V less than the input voltage. So for a 3.5V Li ion cell the gate voltage is below the threshold and the FET resistance is very high. This caused the low output current and FET heating. I changed the design of my project to use a 2s Li ion battery and this solved the problem. The seller should make a note of this issue since I guess this might be the cause of several of the bad reviews.
