"PWM Motor Speed Controller Waterproof Shell DC 10-60V 20A Pulse Width Modulator"Mine started to overheat, lose power and smoke when drawing 10 amps through it. I have a number of small toy-grade brushed electric motors I was trying to speed control with this unit. I purchased this to replace my current non-PWM speed controller, hoping it would be more energy efficient. The old one is also rated for 10 amps/ 20 amps max. Powered from a 20v DC power source, I measure a 5.6 amp draw through my old one while powering my 12 little electric motors. This PWM speed controller started to melt down under the same conditions. So I tested it with a half load - just 6 small motors, and they pulled 6.5 amps through this PWM controller where the old one would have pulled about 2.6 amps.So basically I either have a defective unit, and/or it is incredibly energy inefficient and cannot handle the rated load.

I bought two of these units and both are not working correctly. There seems to be a short in them because if you turn the knob, they only work if you pull on the knob. Push down on the knob and they don’t work.

I purchased this to control fans in the overhead of my Kawasaki Mule UTV. It seem to work very well so far. Easy to wire and the terminal blocks handle 12/14 AWG wire.

Also stops output unpredictably might be suitable for a 5A motor anything that draws more current it becomes unstable. What a waste of my time

work great for my outdoor use. if you plug them incorrectly they will be toast.. but when done correctly.. does what I need it to do for hunting.

It started out doing just as described. But after a few days of use, the motor started going faster and slower by itself. I'd have to mess with the control knob for it to stay at a steady speed and now it just goes at a slow speed... I'll Rate it one star.
