The book has a rough texture which is nice. Pages can be easily removed with the perforated edges.

I’ve been using the Creazic 9"x12" Watercolor Paper Pad for awhile now, and overall, I’m quite happy with it, especially considering its price point.First off, the size is great – it’s not too big or too small, making it perfect for beginner watercolor classes or for anyone who wants to work on their technique without feeling overwhelmed. The spiral-bound design is a huge plus, as it allows the pad to lay flat while you work, and I absolutely love the perforated pages! It makes tearing out completed artwork neat and easy without any hassle. In terms of the paper quality, it’s decent for the price. The 140lb (300g) weight holds up well for most standard watercolor applications. However, if you’re looking to use heavy washes or need something that can handle a lot of water without buckling, this might not be the best option. It isn’t heavy enough to provide the stability some artists might prefer when doing larger or more intense watercolor paintings. One thing I’ve noticed is that I can’t quite figure out the exact material it’s made from, and it doesn’t seem to be 100% cotton. It doesn’t feel like typical cotton watercolor paper, which is a little odd. Also, while it’s advertised as cold-pressed on both sides, only one side of the paper is rough, and the other is relatively smooth. This is a bit confusing, but it’s not a dealbreaker for me.Overall, I think this is a great option for beginners or those looking to practice with watercolor without spending a fortune. It's not the best watercolor paper I’ve used, but it’s certainly a good value for the money. If you’re just starting out or need a pad for basic watercolor work, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!

This is similar to other offerings on Amazon in its pricepoint. Good value "for the price." I have seen and used nicer watercolor paper but this is serviceable for me as a beginning watercolor student. It is not junk and it works fine.

Got this for my daughter who has started attending drawing workshops to learn about various Indian art forms. For the price, the quality is amazing. The paper thickness is good as she did not have any wetness in the backside or the painting being smudged due to paper absorbing too much water from the paints. The color reflection is good and can not complain with the price it is at. My daughter likes the fact that she can tear a sheet to hang her work. Will definetly recommend for beginners.

I wasn't sure what to expect since there was no hint as to the material the paper is made from, and I haven't had the time with it to determine how "acid-free" it is (as claimed), but so far I like everything about this watercolor paper pad--it behaves well with watercolors and watercolor pencils, managing the water nicely and not buckling much--it's fine after it dries. I do remove a single sheet to paint on, taping it around all 4 sides to help it stay stable. And I like the way it handles watercolor pencils, so I may use it for regular, soft core colored pencils, as well. I like the cold pressed texture for both.My work is "student grade" at best (I'm enjoying so many creative things I missed during my first childhood) so I appreciate the moderate price for this pad, too!

If you are looking for inexpensive paper to practice with, then this paper is very good quality for someone who is a beginner and/or who just wants to practice brush strokes or make small motif illustrations (like florals). It has a nice texture and the paint flows nicely across the surface, and stays wet long enough for other colors to blend together. Also it seems that the front and back of the sheet are slightly different, in that the back is smoother (kind of like hot press) -- just a subtle difference, just has less texture than the front. I would prefer if both sides had identical texture to them. The only issue is that is does warp when there is a fair amount of water on the surface (like for washes that cover larger areas). But this is a great price for this quality + quantity of paper (currently at 7.99 for 7x10, and 9.99 for 9x12") for 24 sheets (48 pages). Otherwise this is good paper, especially for the current price, and I would buy it again.
