Over all it works well. We haven’t used it when cooking but it seems like it make be tricky to clean. We had to shorten the chimney which was fine. I installation took is awhile but it was our first time. The white wrapping was hard to take off and there are marks on the hood. I haven’t figured out how to make it pristine. Over all i like the look of it, it’s not too loud and it was a better price than the box stores.

So far, the hood has been good for the price. It's stylish and functional.If I had to warn anyone anything, it would be to check your vent size because the mount seems to be 6 inches and ours was 7 inches so we had to modify the install. Also, be forewarned that there is ALOT of tape on the stainless steel. Get it off BEFORE install. It was difficult to clean up afterwards.I'll keep this review updated in case anything changes.

So we purchased this a couple years ago as we started remodeling our kitchen and it fits perfectly. We had to do some cutting adjustments which seemed like a breeze but it looks beautiful! The light underneath are super bright, the fan works amazingly, and the glass is thick. You can barely hear this when you turn it on and it is so easy to use with just one touch and it's on. Definitely do recommend.

This range hood is great for that price point! The suction is good and I converted it to ductless for making it easier on the overall installation.It also look great and can be set to the minimum fan speed which is very quiet.It was also straight forward to adapt the product for my lower 7' 6" ceiling! I cut the chimney and the frame bar and every still worked out well!

I love the product, very well made , performs and looks fantastic. I am a retired General Contractor and have installed many range hoods. THEY ARE ALWAYS TOUGH TO INSTALL. The ducting, framing and wiring can be very complicated, so I HIGHLY suggest you get some professional help. The 2 main complaints I have with COSMOS, is that the video is very misleading and gives the appearance of an easy install. Second, is they give you no indication or advice on cutting down the 2 stainless shrouds. If you have an average 8 ft ceiling and want the unit high enough that you don't bang your head, they need to be cut. Again, this needs to be done by a professional. GREAT PRODUCT but please consider getting some experienced help.,

We recently remodeled our kitchen moving our stove to an island location (previously on wall) and needed an island hood that could be converted to ductless conversion. For us this was right price, great style and easy conversion to ductless. Love lighting it provides and fan is great! Highly recommend it.

I got the all-metal one, my brother has the glass one and hates it cuz he walks into all the time. Also the glass one is ugly. 🙃Anyhow. It's a relatively simple install, I installed a couple 2x4s between joists in the attic to hang it from, it has drywall anchors and screws but that would be ridiculously janky IMHO.Also, if you have an 8 foot ceiling you'll have to trim the chimney (which I did with a cutoff wheel) or it'll be pretty low. Unmodified, it would've been 24" above the stovetop which looked weird and would be annoying to cook under (I mounted mine at 30").But it'd be perfect for 10' ceilings, and otherwise it goes together easily, is definitely good quality, and it looks great! Very happy with it. I am currently using it un-ducted with just the charcoal filters and it is very effective getting rid of smoke. 👍

Overall the product is exactly what we were looking for, or so I thought. It is a great-looking range hood, the same size as our existing one, which we replaced, and it had a touch screen and no buttons. We needed to replace our existing range hood because the buttons stopped working, so I went looking for a replacement with no buttons. I should have had more criteria.It is a very nice unit with some good specs, but I did not do my proper research on what I was replacing. Our current vent hood had an 8-inch duct; this one has a 6-inch duct. The current one has removable stainless steel valences that cover the hanging mechanism. This one does NOT. This is probably my biggest complaint and what made the installation so difficult.To install the Range hood, you must "stack" the two chimney valences, which caused some scratching on the bottom one. Additionally, they are too long to allow for proper installation. There is no way to secure the fan blower unit with all 16 screws and have the valences on unless you have very high ceilings. We have 9 ft ceilings, and the screw holes are 8 inches apart. The valences covered the top screw holes, but I could not raise them enough to allow the top screws to be installed. Maybe I am an idiot and would appreciate any feedback from anyone who was able to secure it with all of the screws. At this point, I would NOT recommend this device; spend a little more and get a better quality device. Get a hardwired one that doesn't have LED lights (these are very blue) and has removable valences. This unit is nice, quiet, and came packaged well. But leaves a lot to be desired.
