I love this, and the pizza function is very good and makes good pizza. I suggest using foil even with the crumb tray. Getting the pizza just right takes a little trial and error but it really does taste like from a pizza shop. The toaster oven part is easy to use and high quality. The toaster oven does not get too hot and is spacious. Love it.

Works flawlessly. Pizza deck is a bit small, but there’s only two of us so it’s fine. Just be aware that a full size pizza might not fit.Preheats quickly. Air fryer function is pretty good. We use this thing nearly every day. Build quality seems excellent. Very happy so far.

Short story: based on our experiences, we don't recommend this oven.Long story: We owned an amazing similar Wolfgang Puck oven for over 15 years before it finally died. We thought this would be a great replacement. Sadly, no. We immediately found that the handles on the lower rack have insufficient insulation, and become extremely hot. This is not something you'd expect at this pricepoint (or most lower ones).Soon after the warranty expired, we discovered it has 3 major electrical problems.1) steam produced when grilling veggies in the lower oven, would escape into the control panel (& upper oven), causing the control panel to short out -- often with a scary zzZZT! sound -- while the oven continued to run without any control limits. The only way to shut down the oven at that point is to pull the plug. Towards preventing this, we tried leaving the top oven open while grilling veg in the lower, to allow more steam to escape, but it only delayed the electrical short by about a minute.2) even when just toasting bread in the lower oven or baking something in the top oven, we discovered that about 2 minutes after the oven shut off per the control panel selection, it would turn back on again all by itself and start a new cycle of heating.3) if our house experienced a power outage, the oven would turn on all by itself and start a heating cycle when power was restored -- even though it had NOT been in use prior to the power outage.Yes... the instrutions say to unplug the oven after use (Seriously? Yes...) However, that's frequently inconvenient -- and for a modern electrical appliance in the 2020s, just plain dumb. Given the pricey nature of this oven, and the fact that we've had it for less than 2 years, we've been delaying buying a replacement -- and focusing on unplugging the thing after EVERY use.

Maybe my wife and I are the exceptions to the rule, but we have tried numerous times to join in the air fryer craze and simply give up. We just don't get the fuss. This brand name Calphalon performance dual oven with an air frying option was our last attempt to see what we were apparently missing. Consider us still among the heathens.First of all - we inaugurated this beast on our annual New Year's Eve appetizer meal. We tried all of our frozen apps in it. They cooked well enough (in that, yes, they heated up enough for us to eat them safely), but right from the get-go, we noticed that the temperature setting is in gradients of 25, which meant that if the directions required 385 or 410 or any number that wasn't divisible by 25, you had to fudge the directions. This seemed an odd mandated arrangement, but we were cooking frozen appetizers, so we weren't too worried about the precision. Still, worth noting. Now, the food - it came out ok but nothing more (and perhaps even less) than what we would've received from putting it in our conventional oven. In fact, it wasn't nearly as crispy or crunchy as it would've been in the regular oven. This struck us as particularly odd because the air fryer is touted for the ability to fry crispy without grease. For our experiences, this is not the case.Lastly, the clean up was easy enough as there was no basket to monkey with, so it was little more than wiping clean ala a toaster oven. In fact, that's the funny part - this was little more than a bit more gimmicky toaster oven. Bigger, yes, and with a pizza oven (albeit, for very personal pizzas - certainly not enough capacity for any frozen pizza we've ever purchased), but otherwise, to be blunt...so what? For the space it would take up on our already crowded kitchen countertop, there's just no need to toss out what's already been working, especially at the price point for such gadgets. If you are a part of the craze, this may indeed be quite the buy. For us, however, it will be likely going with our son when he moves into his own place. He praises air frying, too.
