I bought this toaster oven after having the same one (an older model, but not much has changed) for several years. I use it multiple times a day, almost every single day. The first one lasted several years (I can’t remember when I bought the first one, but it’s been over five years). The first one finally died—but I used it so often that I am surprised it lasted so long. I decided to stick with the same brand/model rather than trying another one. So I can’t say if it’s the absolute best option, but it’s a reliable piece of kitchen equipment and I have been satisfied. I have never owned a stand alone air fryer—so the air fryer function might not be as great as a stand alone air fryer. I think it works well for my purposes though, as I don’t eat/make a lot of fried foods. I just love this toaster oven and Kitchen Aid products in general. When this second one dies, I will be buying a third…

I shopped extensively for a countertop oven to replace and perform better than my old Farberware-the one I picked up on a whim from the discount shelf of a Walmart. It had to toast better than my old one and be able to air fry and bake well. Naturally I looked at Brevilles and Cousinarts and after seeing many reviews decided on this Kitchen Aid when it went on sale on Amazon. This oven toasts and bakes well with with very little fan noise: the air frying is especially good. The reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is two things. One is it's internal size. As another reviewer said it needs another inch or slighty more in height to accomodate bread baking. I often make no-knead bread and use a dutch oven for baking. Mine just barely fits in the oven with some room for a flexible narrow foil tray for water used to steam the bread alongside it. Doing this made for a good crusty loaf with decent crumb-I was pleased. But an extra inch would make things better. Further, it takes a little finagling to clean the oven ceiling behind the upper heating elements. All the rest cleaned nicely. The second reason for 4 stars is that the temperature setting is not exactly accurate: it's about 25o too high. That is, 450o is likely 425o. I just adjust the temperature accordingly. Otherwise, I'm pleased with the KitchenAid oven.

This KitchenAid Counter Top Oven is the best I have ever owned.Having had 2 previous type ovens that didn't last and burnt many dinners. The minute I opened it I could see the quality. It airfrys, bakes and broils with precision.I highly recommend this item.

Recent appliances seem to be a hit or miss.So far this has held up exceptionally well in 1.5 yearsWe have 6 people in the house and this is used at least half a dozen (avg) times a dayIt's surprisingly large and fits some of the store bought frozen pizza's. It heats up very quickly and gives a notification when the pre-heating is complete. We use it more than I thought for regular meals. It fits most items and is way more efficient than waiting for the 'big' oven to heat up.We actually have baked a half ham in there while our main oven was roasting a turkey. The convection oven works "ok" when attempting to crisp up chicken wings. Some of the features seem superfluous...like the toast option to select how many slices you're toasting.

This KCO124BM is KitchenAid's cheapest model that includes convection/air frying. It's a single fan model and heats/cooks/bakes evenly enough for our purposes. I haven't compared it to KitchenAid's more expensive multi-fan model, but would predict the multi-fan improvement to how evenly it convects is probably worth it to folks who plan to use it as a primary cooking appliance. The best surprise with the KCO124BM is toasting is consistent and fairly quick despite the large interior compartment. It provides an accurate re-calculation of toasting time depending on whether it's already been recently used. Four minutes for well-browned toast from cold, and 2 minutes after previous use. Another surprise is baking capability is more like a real oven than a tabletop toaster oven. The air frying works well and the non-stick bottom pan is surprisingly easy to clean. Highly recommend this model, it has prepared many excellent meals for us.

Bought this in July and we have used it for everything--from drying herbs, toast, bagels, making biscuits in a cast iron frying pan, making Thanksgiving side dishes which we usually cook in the oven, air frying fish and fries, melting cheese for sandwiches, proofing, and convection. It came in so handy over Thanksgiving as the turkey cooked in the oven--we cooked many of the side dishes here. It cooks evenly and is very easy to set or reset. It's bigger inside than it looks--I cannot believe what we were able to fit inside. I bought it b/c my husband doesn't like a lot of digital gadgets and this one is so easy to use--even he can figure it out. :) It's easy to clean--you pull out the plate and it cleans up quickly. It pre-heats very quickly. Once it's pre-heated, it switches to keeping time. The dials allow you to change the cooking time. Dials for toasting allow you to choose the toast setting and the number of slices. My husband remarked that the air fryer option is much better than our air fryer and I would agree. In fact, you do not have to interrupt the cooking to flip the food. It cooks both sides evenly. There is a light that stays on during cooking so it's easy to see inside. I did a lot of research on these ovens and for the price and performance, you cannot beat the Kitchen Aid. One last comment: I read somewhere to stay away from models with dials on top. These dials are on the bottom and the fan is in the back. The top can get pretty hot so leave enough room on each side for air to flow. Only negative is cleaning crumbs is a pain to get in the small areas. Also, the unit does not turn off when you open the door. I highly recommend this unit.
