I purchased this Toshiba 7-in-1 steam/Oven on 08/07/2024 from Amazon. Despite following the recommended usage and maintenance guidelines, I noticed that the stainless steel has developed rust, which is surprising and disappointing for a product of this nature.I have always wiped off the water with paper towels after using the steamer to ensure it remains dry. Despite my efforts, the rusting occurred, which raises concerns about the quality of the material used. Stainless steel is expected to resist corrosion under normal conditions, and I find it hard to believe this falls outside the scope of the warranty.

Arrived quickly. It’s heavier than expected. Connected to Toshiba app was able to select preset recipe to make siumai. Easy to operate, clear instructions, easy to clean, more convenient than using stovetop to steam. Surprisingly low amount of steam escaping from the vent.Update 11/3: Still great. I now use this more than the microwave for cooking. I’ve done steamed fish, veggies, baked brownies, steamed sausage, and chicken. It’s fantastic!I’m not sure why some of the reviews are so bad. My experience has been great. Even the app works well.

Just received today, earlier than scheduled delivery date by 5 days.Very easy to operate and looks very nice.Steamed twice for more than 20 min, still have plenty of water left in the water tray. The gaskets around the oven and the water tray filling part were falling off eadily and need to reattached many times.Try to get extra steaming tray and parts is not available.

This was a risk to buy as there were minimal reviews and not much info. With most appliance Toshiba does make an app that notifies you when pre-heating is complete, door open, or when cooking is done. The unit is not that big but will fit a small chicken. There's a tight slide out tray on the bottom for water (steam feature) that also has a compartment for the steam condensation inside the oven. Usage is simple; you can manually adjust the setting, or use the preset. Most of the preset are spot on, but can't figure out how to use the preset air fry to adjust the time. The Air fry is quick. usually I put the food in and my the time I get notified that pre-heating is complete, I just take out the food.Surprisingly this small 6-in-1 oven feature cooks more evenly that the big brother oven and the build in self cleaning work well.

Useful unit in the kitchen. Replaced my cooktop steam pod, desktop oven and airfryer. Only drawer back is the preheat time seems long.

I just bought it recently and still trying to learn it's functions. It has a lot to offer. Toshiba is a trusted brand that won't break on you too easily, or at least out of the ordinary. The design is sleek, compact, simple and elegant. It's a beautiful piece of equipment to have on your countertop. I've seen some that look like toys and that's a little bit of a turn off. As for the functions, there are so many options to cook a variety of foods. Many of the functions are programmed to prepare Asian inspired dishes that delicious. I have yet to try them out. I've started using this steamer-oven combo recently for dishes not programmed in their guidebook. Generally, choosing the food item that matches closely in their guide, e.g. grilled saury for baked/broiled salmon. Which by the way, this unit doesn't have a broil function. I used the bake/air-fry combo and it was okay. It did the job. Most of the time, I find a work around for these units to cook the types of foods my family eats. I'm still trying to figure it out at the moment. In general, I find that this unit excels in overall design aesthetic, it's steaming and baking function or in other words "slow foods" which are considered by many as a healthier way to prepare meals. It's easy to clean, and the steamer tray below doesn't leak like our previous brand model. The water tank, if filled, will last a while. The one thing, I have to get used to is preheating it for most preparations. Each meal in the guidebook has a length of time that it needs to heat up, but I found that it's actually longer. My explanation so far, that's probably the preheat mode.I will return with an update for my review when I get through another few rounds of use.
