This is my first time with this kind of shimmer ink, and I had set my expectations high. I knew not to use it in a fountain pen so I've been using this with a dip pen only.You have to shake the bottle really well, and then quickly write before the shimmer settles again to the bottom, I'm not sure how you are suppose to keep it mixed while working with the ink.It completely clogged up my dip pen and I had to scrub it down with a toothbrush to get the globs of stuff off it when I was done.But most importantly was it shimmery? Well, to be honest, not really, maybe? sometimes? If you used broad strokes or big blotches, but if you were wanting to write a magical letter with a dip pen (Medium nib) you will spend the rest of your day holding the paper up at certain angles and under different light conditions to try and see the sparkles.

Ferris Wheel Press' shimmer ink is one of my favorites. It is durable and of high quality. The ink is also waterproof and smudge-resistant. Worked well with watercolors. I highly recommend it.

The bottle of ink looks beautiful, and withstood the mishandling that caused the misshapen and torn box it came in. This is a huge bummer because I’ve just started collecting these inks, and the packaging was very important to my displays. Regardless, I’m very excited to load my pen with this ink.

The color is beautiful, just or for use for regular fountain pens. Seems a bit “dry” if that makes sense. My fault for choosing the wrong type of ink…Make sure this is the right ink for your needs!
